As someone who's not a fan of most modern shooters, I'm very excited for Doom Eternal. It's going to be an incredible game in every way. I'll most likely be getting it day one on PC.
Still really bummed (and very curious) about the Doom 64 Switch thing, though. It was supposed to be out on Switch last year, but it was seemingly held back to be a preorder bonus for Doom Eternal. But now that the Switch version seems to be MIA, I wonder what's to become of Doom 64 on Switch.

Ohh man I actually forgot this was coming out so soon....if its as optimized as Doom'16 I am so ready for this.
Heard Doom'16 was amazing on PC I was forced to play on XB1(hadnt upgraded my GPU yet), but this time im more than ready for Doom Eternal assuming the rec spec isnt an RTX 2080.

sorry DOOM isnt looking to make you cry so you dont have to feel inadequate for playng a video game
People are downplaying how present the story was in 2016 Doom. Yes it wasn't in your face, but it was very much there. DoomSlayer isn't 100% driven solely by bloodthirst, he is aware of his surroundings and events.

My exact reaction after seeing the trailer and realizing I never re-installed it after refreshing a Windows install a while back. Played through it the first time on Xbox so seeing it again on my RTX 2080 at 120 FPS locked at 3440x1440 res was quite a treat.
You can buy it on the eShop right now. It's still coming March 20.

Re-watching the trailer...Is the big demon that comes out of the portal with the red axe wearing old doom slayer armor? Was he a doom slayer that was turned into a demon?

There aren't many games that interest me in 2020 but Doom Eternal takes the very top of the list. I have zero doubts this will be THE best FPS to play this year.

Yeah I don't like it, it kind of 'humanizes' him instead of him being a faceless demon-killing machine. It's a minor complaint, Doom 2016 is probably my favorite game of all time.
I think that's the point of the trailer. Talking about how he's just human.

To be honest, I'm not a 'story in games' kind of guy, so I totally wasn't paying attention to that :)
