DOOM (2016) --> Waking up from sarcophagus? (Yeah, i need to play again with the game, and read the lore/texts/codex)

You should, that stuff is pretty interesting. Lays foundation for linking all Doom games together into single continuity etc.

Demons separated Doom Slayer from his armor after events of Doom 64, locking them into separate sarcophagus's in order to stop his reign of slaughter over demons etc.

A pretty major spoilers from Mike Gordon himself

The Theme from the trailer is Samuel Hayden's, and is a rock rendition of it from 2016, and Gordan is saying you'll know why it's like that in the game itself. I'm thinking he's a boss, or maybe there's a sequence were he rips and tears.

Can't wait for this, glad they took their time with it. Fingers crossed it's even better than 2016.

Sam Hayden is... Not a good guy, but probably not the main villain like how he was clearly selfish and evil in 2016, but not the most evil bad guy in the game.

Yeah I did not watch the trailer very carefully. Hopkins made a boo boo.
However I'm pleased robots are not a significant part of doom eternal.
