Does anyone still care about dota here? I need help, I used a free month of plus thing that I assume came from artifact, and it turns out the medusa set needs an insane amount of crystals or whatever, how do I get 90k, are the sets gonna expire? I'm literally playing dota again just to get that set.

I'm doing the welcome quests but that's just 26k, what does one do to get a bunch of gems?

Shards don't expire as far as I'm aware. Just playing the game and doing challenges on heroes or the welcome challenge and monthly challenges should be suffice to get you enough shards for medusa set.

Lots of quests to do. There is 26k in welcome quests and 93k in S3 quests.
You also get shards for winning games and doing hero quests in Ranked, less in Turbo

90k is a lot.

My sub on DotA plus expired for a bit and then I renewed since I'm back to playing again with new patch and still had my 12k shards from earlier so don't worry about them expiring.

Love the bug where your prior rank was shown as 1 division up. That's the closest I'll ever get to immortal.

I'm fine with that. Hopefully they stick to hard numbers this season for each rank instead of dropping it over time like they have for the past two seasons.
It's percentage based which is why it goes down (at least for the higher ranks) the more people that calibrate, I guess we'll have to see but I doubt they are changing that.

ded gam get pig hatz
http://blog.dota2.com/2019/02/new-bloom-rewards/
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, each victory you earn in normal Dota Matchmaking from February 1 – 11 will grant you progress along the New Bloom rewards line, where you'll find a host of seasonal delights including gifts, celebrations, and chat wheel sounds.

Start off by claiming your New Bloom consumables bundle at level one, and bring some festive flair into the lanes with New Bloom Celebrations. Use celebrations in your games safe in the knowledge that you can earn more on the rewards line or by purchasing a fresh bundle with shards.

As you advance along the line, you can even help your friends get into the spirit of the season by gifting them free spins on the New Bloom rewards wheel. Every spin you and your friends make offers the chance to win an indescribably-rare Nian Courier.

You'll receive 200 points for a Normal victory, 100 points for Turbo, and the first win of each day will grant a bonus of 1250 points.

You'll be able to use your consumables and chat wheel sounds in your games until March 1, so prepare yourself for battle and start the New Year in style.

shira Do you know what game Owen's chat wheel line is from? I swear I saw it live but I can't place it anymore... DAC 2018 maybe? or the last major of 2017 or somewhere around there? The questionable one.

Oh thanks I guess I thought he said that somewhere else. Are there supposed to be other people in this thread? Why is it so dead are people really only interested during TI? I'm imagining 83 pages of you posting news to the wind.

A lot of us from GAF just moved to the Discord server.
Link in first post.

Idk, I feel compelled to post esports stuff just so I know who's playing, but I also know there are lots of lurkers

Can't remember the last time OG beat Liquid, I'm hoping it wasn't as far back as Manila but it feels like an age.
