Vengeful Spirit is pretty good. Stun and save
Crystal Maiden has stun and gives mana regen
Warlock has a fun ulti and heal
I suggest Turbo to start. Double the gold, half the gametime

Yeah there's dotabuff , you have to enable a setting in game for it to scrape your data though.

I use opendota for match tracking, best for free.
Dotabuff is better for quick reference and seeing which heroes are top in meta atm
And yeah you have to manually allow match tracking in options
Play overthrow in arcade in order to get used to casting spells without worrying about the score or the rest of the game. It's fighting non-stop and the matches are shorter than something like ARAM or turbo.
The more comfortable you get with the game you can start adding stuff in like wards, stacking and pulling, smoke ganks. What was your rank in league?
Agree with the above, Overthrow is really nice if you wanna get a hang for a certain hero in a relaxed and casual environment. If you want to play supp, I'd probably recommend Crystal Maiden or Ogre Magi. In beginner pubs you don't really need to worry too much about double-pulling or stacking the large camps, just get a feel for the game first and then you can move onto that stuff.

Valve really needs to fix the current abusing of the report system. Haven't been in low priority since 6 years or so but right now I'm in low priority. My behaviour score is currently sitting 9.860 with 4 reports and 31 recommendations out of the last 10 games. All 4 reports come from two russian-pre-made duos that queued for mid / carry on EU West, failed hard and of course blamed the pos5. If thats enough for low priority then nobody on earth will play pos5 in the future.
