As the sole 4-star receiver of the Mana Spiral updates this month, I’m gonna give Patia my first dark 70 MC while I wait for the 3-stars. I’m running into the legitimate issue though that I’m literally running out of Knight Testaments. I need 24 Knight Testaments to 70 MC 6 3-stars (29 to also 70 MC Patia), and I only have 13 at the moment...

How are people still joining expert HMS without knowing how the circles work? I can't wait for the revive update so this becomes less of a trial of frustration.

Lightning for Smash
I can finally clear eHMC with my Welly and MUB HDT1 weapon. I could've done this waaay earlier but I didnt want to be a problem to my other teammates as I'm still learning the dragon's rotations. I think I'm going to purchase the double drops for next reset tuesday next week.

Did they stop giving out weapon/Dragon augments? I don't remember getting any past the initial bunch.

Unbinding Patia's Mana Spiral reminded me I never completed sHJP and sHZD.

I should probably wait until the HDT updates to play these. That way some kind random PUBs can get some nice mentor bonus points. Still, it's slightly annoying 70MC requires HDT material.

GLuca continues to deliver in Mercurial Gauntlet. GLuca with Elegent Escort and V!Ezelith helped me clear lvl 43-50 Light MG. I'm finally eligible for the max MG Reward Bonus Tier of 250.

I wonder how the revive system works in single-player. If all the AIs get revives then you may legitimately be able to start auto-ing sHDTs without large investments like you currently need, which would make 70MC-ing 3-star and 4-star adventurers more accessible.

so fun story, i was struggling all night with PUB's on Agito

then one group didn't even have a healer and I was like "this is gonna go great..."

and then we nuked him like ten seconds into him casting the dark outside wall phase.

wat.

I think either when we get Master Agito or the endgame content after that is when we’ll see Dragon/Weapon augments, which will make 10K Might a lot more obtainable.

In case you haven’t been doing it (and for any future Welly’s who may be reading this), when you’re doing c2fs or c3fs, you should force strike away from HMC, like towards the wall when she’s next to it. This gives you better control of your character for stuff like whirlpools or when she’s in the center firing at the ranged, so you’re less likely to accidentally force strike straight into a 1HKO move.

I have enough Agito fragments to buy a weapon now but... I can't decide for whom :'(
You can always dedicate those fragments into maxing out your tree instead, giving you some more weeks/months to decide who you should grind the Agito weapon for.

I would still suggest just getting the tree, yes. The initial 0UB 6* weapon just does not seem that useful to me. Especially when you could alternatively make a Chimera T2 and get pretty close to it, and neither is going to get you into eVolk anyway. Unless you make a staff, in which case it looks like the Chimera actually wins out HP-wise so would still be better.

And on that note... so, obviously, I went and got HLowen his 0UB HD2 to use for eVolk (and theoretically mHMS). And I don’t really regret it, as I have easily gotten into rooms as a result. To the point that I uhhhhh kinda farmed a MUB 6* for Xania already. But if you have HLowen+PSiren and can manage with a Chimera T2, honestly it may be worth trying to break into eVolk with that instead? And that’s regardless of who you want to actually use for it long term.

Cause I think you could still get past might gates an acceptable amount of the time with just the T2; hosting may also work fine, though I guess people may be arbitrarily annoyed at you vs just accepting it when you’re the last one joining their room, and so on? And you risk not being able to lock out overly weak players, I guess. As is with my HD2 I’m joining with an 8.4k fake loadout with just the highest possible might prints/dragon, then switching to my real 7.8k loadout, but some people do set rooms low enough that you could still get into them with a T2 with the right facilities + fake loadout. As far as making the 6* weapon, Expert’s first clear bonus + weeklies + a couple more runs got me to 1UB already, and since you got 3-5 gold fragments per run, it’s only 6-10 runs per unbind even without weeklies. And I’m not sure if the gold fragments in weeklies vary, but I got 6 for all mine this week, which means 9 per run at worst for those first 3 runs. So worst case you can just get Expert weeklies for maybe a month, with those 3 or 4 runs a week getting an unbind (so if you don’t fame beyond this you won’t even have to worry as much about getting into rooms), and then have a MUB 6* to actually use on someone else going forward. Just feels like it’s reasonably worth taking a shot at if you have HLowen + PSiren to begin with and may not have a fire HD2 ready anytime soon.

...so that would be smarter than going the HD2 route like me, but it was probably actually worth the easier time with rooms as I’m apparenly a fool who suddenly wanted to spend even more time farming, I guess? Like the issue is more that if there’s Master revives, it still would have been worth doing this pace 2 weeks later to save the time on getting the HD2 at all. But. Still.

...well, there’s also that I had no real need to get the 6* so quickly either, but it is very nice to jump up in power so fast! Even just casually running more is gonna be buffing up my fire team quickly, while my day to day co-op focus goes back to a more varied set of high dragons that I’ll be actively running, seeing as I’ve now essentially “finished” both cycles for the first time. I gotta get back into doing Jupiter and actually remember what HZD is like, for example... I want to build up some more HD1s, get my Fafnirs up more, and there’s of course mentoring to do both for the bonus and in the sense of teaching alliance members who now want to try running more fights...

Just a heads up that Eolian Phantom and Volcanic Chimera are double drops today, so it’s a good time to farm Phantom if you need a weapon for Chimera (keep in mind you can only craft axe, lance, bow, and staff from Phantom parts) or Chimera for more Chimeratech weapons.

Also, I think the update is available tonight, 3 hours before reset (automatic update is in two days), so we might have access to the revive system really soon? I’m definitely interested in seeing if that’s the case.

Just posting to see if there's an alliance code in the hidden content in the OP.
Assuming nothing’s changed since I last posted this info, in terms of Era alliances, Harusame is the leader of Oathkeepers, metalmonster is the leader of Hat Trick, Ashodin is the leader of Pact Bound, Brazil is the leader of Sabnockers, and mockingbird is the leader of The Alliance Alive. You should message them directly for space info (including your in-game name, potentially changing it if it’s still Euden, since they wouldn’t be able to tell that it’s you).

Update is live on Android.

Revives do work on Solo HDT. Once your last party member dies; your whole party revives with about 25%-33% health.

Man... I just got back into Dragalia after a looonngg break (couldn't resist the MonHun trailer) and there are a lot of new things about which I know nothing.

I have no idea what these void weapons are, and I honestly don't remember at all where I left off on my weapon upgrading or what I should be chasing now.

I'm lvl 57. My smithy is lvl 8. It looks like I have a few 5-star, lvl 80 weapons. I hope I'm strong enough to come back and participate in this event in a meaningful way without having to stay in the low rank versions of boss fights.

It depends. Regular drop is 1-3, weekly is 3-5, I guess now revive is 1 more as well?

So in the worst case, even if you never die you may need to do up 5 runs in a week to make one (3 drops, 9 weeklies, 3 bonus = 15/18). If you do die, obviously that’s an extra run potentially needed per lost bonus. Though in the best case I guess you’d only need 2 runs (6 drops, 10 weeklies, 2 bonus), though that’s not very likely.

Free daily tenfolds during the MH event! That's 100 free summons on the first part of the collaboration banner. This is addition to a bunch of other goodies.

I'm definitely going to hold back on my wyrmite spending until the final day. Hopefully by then, we'll have information on what the banner showcase update contains and I can make a more informed choice on my summoning plans.

New players can now select a 5-star from the initial 9 adventurer roster when playing for the first time instead of getting a random one. I think Hildegarde is probably still the best for new players unless they get a good regen healer from the free tenfold or Ezelith if they want an extremely meta adventurer, though Euden is also very meta.

Gave eHMS a shot and had a soild team and chance of clearing it until someone rolled into me during the purple circles when they were in dragon form and I wasn't.

Twice.

At any rate, with the new revives and Heinwald about to get his mana spiral unlocked I'm finally gonna go step on that giant lightning chicken once and for all.

Also, I can't believe that RAINBOW ORBS are the thing that's holding me back these days.

Double Wind IO drops at the end of the event makes it seem like the second character on the second banner would be wind. (with Hunter Sarisse being a water bow)

The only other character we've seen hinted is Gammoth armor Pia on one of the wyrmprints. (well her and Mizutsune armor Mym, but we already have Sarisse in that armor set) Gammoth is ice element in Monster Hunter so it is a bit of a stretch to have Gammoth!Pia be wind, even if Pia is originally wind.

Popular monsters that are either associated with wind or are close enough to fit on a wind character would be Rathian, Nargacuga, and Kushala Daora.

In terms of the weapon progression nowadays, it now starts in Void Battles, and for getting into endgame, it goes Eolian Phantom for anti-Chimera weapons -> Volcanic Chimera for Chimeratech weapons -> Standard High Midgardsormr (HMS) for access to standard Volk and expert HMS -> standard Volk for fire tree/6-Star fire weapons (still using your Chimeratech weapons). If you want to get more into HDTs (this part is technically optional), it’d start at expert HMS (still using your Chimeratech weapons), then going around to standard/expert High Mercury (HMC) then standard/expert High Brunhilda (HBH), and finally using HMC weapons for master HBH. You can then go do master HMS/HMC or go straight to expert Volk to better grind 6* weapons.

Chimeratech weapons are so strong that you need to do endgame content (mHMS/eVolk) for a strict upgrade at a fast pace, so you’ll be using them for a while. Volcanic Chimera/Fire Weapons are the only ones available, but they give more Might and Strength than core weapons even when ran off-element, so they are the best things to make in general.

For a more in-depth explanation, I wrote a step-by-step version here, earlier in the thread.

Gala damage so far: 29 single pull tickets (for rate-ups) and 13 10-pulls, no Gluca :(. Had some great dragon-luck, however, and ended up with 11 rainbows in total:

Vayu (UB 1 and 2)
AC-011 Garland (new)
Hastur (new)
Alexander (UB 4 [finally, another MUB light dragon, and without using stones!])
Garuda (UB 3)
Liger (UB 3)

As for adventurers, I got a shiny new Kirsty, and dupes of Nefaria, S!Verica, and Lin You (no Gluca spooks thankfully).

Really decent haul, despite a drought in there when I got to 8.5% pity... I'm probably gonna wait for the end of banner to spend any more of my 30k wyrmite reserve, just in case we get some free pulls over this weekend.
Okay, so with today's announcement of 100 free pulls on the MH banner, I decided I could afford to push a little harder for Gluca. I started at 31.9k wyrmite, and decided to try until I had 200 pulls left (24k). 5* results of 31.9k to 24.7k as follows: Popstar Siren (UB3), S!Verica (dupe), Delphi (new, and timely with his updates soon!), and, finally, Gluca came home, on the pull which put me at 24.7k wyrmite. Glad to have him on the team, and not be missing a Gala character.

Speaking of Popstar Siren, what's the story with people using her off-element for H!Lowen and the like? What does that contribute? Wondering if it's worth using a stone to MUB her now that she is one UB away...

I assume because her ability is a str/def/energy buff skill, and if Phoenix's healing isn't specifically required that's probably more useful. Since you can fire it twice in a single activation you can get the full 5 energy without any other support as well.

If I’m understanding it right, Siren’s skill is basically the best DPS supplement for healers since it increases everyone’s strength twice and energizes them; it’s literally better than if H! Lowen was using a strength dragon. She has more overall uptime than Levi since you can only bog once during break, while you can generally dragon twice in the fight.

Given that HLowen isn’t actually expected to provide much damage at all, she’s become the default pick for Expert Volk due to her buff - 3 energy and 15% to strength/defense by default, 20% if MUB, and can be done twice as long as you do 2 3-hit combos to charge it without getting hurt.

This is mainly important due to the fight’s dps checks, both hard and soft ones. There’s a couple points where you need to destroy a “bloodmoon” in time to not instantly lose, for one. But beyond that, Volk’s (and we can assume Agito in general?) attack flow actually works differently than the high dragons. While the high dragons have a set sequence of moves that may skip sections based on break timing, Volk has a set sequence of moves but actively skips individual ones based on his HP, cutting out attacks if you’ve done enough damage by that point. There’s certain attacks you really want to avoid, so that buff is pretty helpful if you can time its use well.

Are anti HDT weapons no longer preferred for HDT versus Agito/Chimera weapons?
T1 weapons will outdo Chimera weapons in their respective trial thanks to the bane. Chimera weapons are better than the void weapons with the bane, though.

If your Agito weapon is just 0UB from the freebies for clearing Standard the first time then the same thing applies. T1 with bane > Chimera/Agito > void with bane.

How does MUB Chimera / 0UB Agito / 0UB HD1 compare?

How does MUB Chimera / 0UB Agito / 0UB HD1 compare?
So just playing around super quickly in the stat calculator, using Marth and Sakuya:

0UB HDT T1: 3450 effective strength (factoring in the 30% bane)
MUB Chimera: 3220 strength - can scale up to 3864 effective strength if you can build all five stacks of the strength buff
0UB Agito: 3273 strength - 3600 with the weapon's strength buff active

So an Agito weapon is an easy pick over an 0UB HDT bane weapon as long as you keep the strength buff on. The Chimera weapon can potentially beat both but it'd depend on how easily you can accumulate the strength buffs by dropping under 70% HP multiple times.

my gala 8% pity break happened, With two 5* Lily (new) and my 2nd Poseidon dragon.

not bad, but not really what I wanted out of five 10 pulls..
