Here's my rosters on my F2P NOTTE account only using the free daily summons we've gotten since launch.
I've got 98 adventurers and 65 dragons. For the gacha dragons, I unbind all the non-5*'s and sell off the rest when I have a MUB copy. Going forward I think I'm just going to start using moonstones to get more Eldwater when selling off spare 4*'s. I've no other use for them and I use the extra Eldwater.
Awesome updates, Numberfox. Thanks as always for sharing your F2P progress with us, since no one else (that I know of) is playing DL in quite the same way with that much restraint, so it's really cool to see you stick with it for so long. 👍
I farmed this event for the omega keys and now I feel burnt out and done with the whole event lol --- yet I'm only halfway through with the emblems needed to get everything. Also got 6 rare boosts -- which is nice but this event seems to be the easiest raid event in the history of the game.
Haven't had the time to hard farm so I'm still a bit from unlocking unlocking Omega, but I assume they purposefully made it easier than usual so newer players have a chance at attempting it. There may be an influx of newer players due to the freebies/holidays. I don't think Shishimai was particularly hard last year either, so the NY raid bosses are more meant to be a piñata than really difficult content for veterans like Chronos Nyx. Having access to Chimera weapons also vastly improved mid-core players' power level and making rare raid boosts a lot easier to obtain contributed to making the boss easier. Making Nightmare a difficultly folks should farm instead of just doing it once a day probably also made them tone the Nightmare difficulty down this time around.
I'm not personally knowledgeable about HBH, but I've heard that Thaniel is fine if you have Chocolatiers, though I'm not 100% sure.
The main benefit of an Alliance is getting an extra 2 medium stamina pots daily, but you can simply make a solo Alliance to reap that benefit if you don't want to go through the rigmarole of joining an Alliance proper.
I'd day it is. You can literally join a random one, never interact with anyone in it, and just use it to get your daily 40 stamina for clicking the alliance button.
Managed to clear Omega Solo on my F2P NOTTE account, not even having all the raid boosts yet. My team comp was Alfonse, Hanabusa, Elisanne, and Felicia because Luca managed to get one-shot towards the end twice before I just swapped him for Elisanne and got deathless first try. His 70 MC can't come soon enough.
Got a relatively painless deathless clear of Omega raid on my F2P NOTTE account with Alfonse, Hanabusa, Luca, and Felicia. I wanted to only have light team comps and it'd be hypocritical to not practice what I preach. So far, I've been able to 100% every event after Anniversary outside of the Mega Man collab.
Also, there's double drops for Volcanic Chimera, meaning it's a really good time to grind for red orbs, augments, void leaves/seeds, and volcanic chimera mats. Our next event is a rerun for fire adventurers, so today's a good time to get that team stronger if you have the time. Here's what 99 VC runs look like:
On Reddit, there was a datamine for Nobunaga and Mitsuhide Happy New Year stickers. Unless I'm blind, I don't think we've gotten them yet? They don't come from event endeavors nor login bonuses, I wonder what the deal is for them.
newish player here, I didn't know you just had to craft the void weapons to make the Volcanic Chimera weapons, thought you used the void weaps as a base lol. Is it worth making the tier 2 versions of the volcanic chimera weapons? Also I have some damascus ingots from events and I heard a good way to use them was to unbind a tier 5 weapon and dismantle them for the goodies, is that still the case?

T2 Volcanic Chimera weapons will be the strongest weapons you can make before tackling mHDT for HD2 weapons; they're even better than HD1 weapons from eHDTs when doing content outside HDTs. Nowadays the most optimal use of Damascus ingots would be to use them on HD2 weapons. Dismantling isn't as good anymore because core weapons are no longer the best, and the new best weapons (Chimera, HD2, Agito) can't be dismantled.
Well, if anyone's looking for an easy eHMS character, 70 MC Xania with MUB Chimera is fun. I'm looking forward to finally being able to clear the others in the near future.
Conga rats! Yeah, Double Drop Chimera is one of the best places for Augments. Plus you can use the chimera drops for the other weapons to give your fire team a boost, especially since the next event is for flame adventurers.

Not only that, Xania is also a very meta adventurer for both mHMS and eVolk. I'd say she's the 3-star that gained the most from the Mana Spiral update.
What's the best weapon for Noelle? Because her 5T3 has a healing skill I'm hesitant to spend the resources on crafting it... is there a specific Void one that's better for her? (can't do high dragons)

The 5.3 void weapons from Void Poseidon will be the best because not only is it the best option for eHMC if you don't have a wind HD1, the 50% Skill Prep will let you fire off an S1 sooner, improving the team DPS a bit, which is better than increasing Noelle's personal DPS.

Recently restarted and trying to figure out what wyrmprints I should buy since I have a nice amount of mana. Since none of them are Blade class specific, what would be best for those units? (Have Rena, Victor, and Leyasu)
(Edit: Also pulled the Mouse Zodiac, just use the dagger one for her right?)

Just a heads up that Eldwater is what you use for Wyrmprints, Mana is for the Mana Circle. If I'm remembering right, Victor uses Resounding Rendition/Beautiful Nothingness, Ieyasu uses Resounding Rendition/Jewels of the Sun, and Rena uses Resounding Rendition/Elegant Escort. Elegant Escort is a limited Wyrmprint tho, so if you don't have that you can use JotS/BN instead. Adventurers can use 2 Wyrmprints at once.
Mitsuhide uses Twinfold Bonds/Spirit of the Season, though SotS is a limited Wyrmprint so you can use Levin's Champion instead, which is also better if the enemy is paralysis-resist.
So with access to Notte's Slumber Shot ending soon I figured I'd give Sassy difficulty another try after timing out on Middy at the end a few days ago. What I wasn't expecting was not only did I beat that, but also Molassy difficulty on my second attempt somehow:
I play shmups very infrequently and bullet hells even less. I don't know how this was even remotely within the realm of possibility considering just how brutal Molassy is.

I didn't do more than Sweet this time around, but IIRC there's a little more to it than that too depending on how you play it! You can fight HMS instead of the regular one, I think?

Yeah, fighting High Mid instead requires you to play well during the rest of the stage leading up to him, maybe? I distinctly remember fighting him in Sassy a few days ago but this time he was just regular Mid. 🤔
On my F2P NOTTE account, I've decided to use my Damascus ingots more liberally for stuff like T2 Volcanic Chimera weapons. The way I see it, ingots are for skipping certain grinds, and I don't see my account legitimately tackling mHDTs any time soon considering my main still hadn't. I'd rather use them and get a smaller benefit than for them to indefinitely gather dust on my alt. I already do that with sunlight stones.

What to do with Damascus Ignots has been my only issue that's popped up since the release of Chimera/Agito; if you can even call it an issue. I have no desire to go ever back to HDTs outside of farming the required eHDT orbs/tails for 70MC. Now I'm sitting on 15+ Damascus Ignots that were being saved for HD2 weapons. I think I might do the same and use them to speed up the Chimera CT2 farming; but I'll hold off until all the Chimera bosses are released.

I spent $4 on the game early on to do a few extra daily summons but that's been it. I am not super hardcore though in that I can never even come close to beating the highest difficulty level of things and don't even attempt to. I have 140 adventurers in my roster with 57 5*'s. I assume probably 10 or so are promoted from 4*'s but that's just guessing. I am mostly impressed by Numberfox's number of fully unbound 5* dragons. I only have 14 of them it looks like (some are from quests). Also in the number of fortifying gems that have been used.
I actually didn't even realize you could do a mana circle past the 5th level.. guess I need to get more rainbow orbs.
One thing I would love is if they made mana or money tradeable for items.. I have 5.7m mana and most of it is not doing me much good. Same with my 36m gold or whatever it is.

All the fully unbound 5* dragons on my F2P NOTTE account aside from HMS (from HDT), Mini Mids (from Anniversary logins) and Gold Fafnirs (from Void) are the event welfare dragons, which are generally worse than MUB 4* dragons (30% Strength MUB Pele vs 45% Strength MUB Ifrit). They're more emblematic of how many raids we've had and how many times each has been re-run. So we've had 15 raid events in total since launch, 10 unique ones, with last year's NY raid being re-run the most at 3 times.
The Very Hard story chapters give out quite a lot of Augments, and I've slowly been accruing more from doing the 3 weekly HDTs and Void dragon/Volxanic Chimera battles.
