This is not bad for a PC Fighter game or a Dragon Ball game in general.

Other comparison, it's done as much in a week that Tekken 7 did in 5 months, and that Injustice 2 did in more than 3 months.
Dragonball is massive in the US. It should have a very good debut especially considering how late in the month it launched
I hope it sold through a lot for Arc System work's sake. They put a lot of care into their games but have never gotten that smash hit

Good stuff. How does GG/BB do in comparison? I doubt either franchises have a game with over a million sold.

Xenoverse 1 was the one with the 5m LTD. Xenoverse 2 should be around 3.5m by now.
I don't think it'll hit those highs but damn if DBZF didn't do amazing.
Besides some teething online issues, the game is fantastic so I'm thrilled to hear this.

I feel like I would be a jerk to mention how Monster Hunter World has shipped over five million units already, but definitely, it is quite a fit to consider this in terms of a Dragon Ball game in general. Definitely a great accomplishment to have done so well in less than a week's time.
It's great they're doing a comeback. Last years:
Nioh tops 1 million
Persona 5 tops 2 million
NieR: Automata passes 2 million
Monster Hunter World ships 5 million
Final Fantasy XV ships 7 million
This has been my main takeaway the last few months. There are some under performances floating around out there for sure.
But in general? The industry is so healthy right now its absolutely incredible. We are living in a gaming golden age in terms of overall health right now.
That is fantastic for the future of this game and a sequel. Should sell over 5 million.

Well deserved. The lobby/matchmaking system is awful and the story mode grind to unlock 21 is even more awful but the core gameplay is very fun and exciting.
