Any good post-game leveling guide out there?

I'm in the low 50s and I feel like I'm going to be stuck at these level ranges for a long time unless I find a good place to grind.

I found, personally, in my admittedly still somewhat limited 100hrs between Switch and PC, that replaying the campaign on hard mode is the most fun, least full on grindy way of leveling. And on NG+ and beyond (even if you reset by switching to hard mode instead of using Godsbane) all of your port crystals stay put and you even get duplicates in all the old locations so you'll have twice as many on NG++ etc, so travel time becomes inconsequential. Aside from the hydra head quest, you can even teleport directly to escort locations and get super quick exp, not to mention being able to keep all the badge of vows in your inventory so you just grab them, run to the pawn guild board and watch the exp roll in a second time. I skipped a lot of quests due to auto fail or just not finding them on NG but even though I went back and did most of those, ng+ took me 25hrs as opposed to 60 for NG, and I went from level 40 to 68, slightly less than an hr per level is way better than what I got out of NG and IMO, way more fun than grinding the same big enemy over and over, picked up a lot of story stuff the second time too.

That being said, I also just beat Dark Bishop for the first time and gained two levels, so maybe BBI is definitely the way to go once your ready for some of the "real" big enemies? I still feel like I'd get incredibly bored with BBI doing that over and over from 68-200

Think I'm lvl 100 or something and first time playing. I'm guessing I'm lucky I got a sanguine stalk without any save scumming...? Fully upgraded it too! https://dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Sanguine_Stalk

On normal mode NG? Are you really taking your time? I don't know what I could've missed, aside from scouring every inch of the map and doing EVERY mundane "find x many of y" and "kill x amount of y" quests that would've made me miss out on 60 levels lol. Or are you solo? I heard that gives good exp gains

There are any number of ways to overlevel in the initial NG run. I, for one, absolutely farmed the Drake in Devilfire Grove for Dragonforging all kinds of gear and hunted griffins for days on end to get some rare upgrade materials before I got the idea of duplicating them at the Black Cat.

I've done so many BBI runs for level 3 equipment that I'm level 169 now. I am in NG+ but I barely actually did any of the main game in NG+.

Yeah, that makes sense. I try not to farm unless I'm stuck. My ADD kicks in if I do too much repetition, no way I would've lasted 100hrs if 20 of that was spent fighting the same monster

To me, the sounds grindy. I love BBI so far and don't want to get bored with it so I just try to switch up what I'm doing every so often, campaign feels like the most variety for now, though when I'm done with NG++ I'm sure that'll get old too lol

For some reason I am not getting bored of BBI at all. I guess it helps that every room has different enemies spawn each run. Plus the necrophages.

Just from going through the game on normal with a full party, hardly did everfall, just completed the required quest and then going through BBI twice in NG+. I'm rubbish at these games and the second run in BBI i just ran right through hardly killing anything so i could just fight the awakened deamon which is where i got that staff. It felt to me right through the game i was leveling up quite fast and i don't do farming as i hate it. I think i was probably about lvl 60 when i first went to BBI.

Damn, yeah that staff must be clutch. I find waiting around for casts to be my least favorite combat method though, but I'll still have to look into that staff, gotta put some sorcerer levels in soon for my MA build anyway. I didn't have any problem getting through the campaign though, just came out at a way lower level than you afterwards so I dunno if having a crazy OP weapon would've made a difference in that regard

Ya mean not like my $500 GPU stuck playing a PS2 game :p

But I feel your pain. Hard to understand why the PS4Pro version can't do it.

But my $375 gpu (full system much more, obviously, pc is awesome but ain't cheap) at least plays that ps2 game at full 4K 60 lol. I'm not trying to neg the X1X, more Square for doing weird things with all their ports. Though, with a powerful pc and all Microsoft exclusives coming to pc there is literally zero incentive for me to have an X1X

Man, finding a good pawn isn't easy, especially at high level.

That being said, even if mine is undergeared, it looks like it's doing good work out there :)

Huh? What do you mean forced infiltration?
Sewer area. In the dark. Death is always there roaming as long as you didn't defeat BBI boss (1st form).

As a side note, said boss wasn't very fun. Tons of HP with only one super nasty attack (pawn deleter).

Edit: Note to Crapcom: Pawn deleter attacks are unfun. Dragons' roar are already pretty cheap.

But pawn deleters are on a whole new fucking level of time wastiness.

(yeah, I make up words sometimes)

Hey so I can't equip any weapon to my main pawn. I tried switching her class and it's just Xed out. Won't let me know. I don't know what happened or I did differently.

Anyone experience this?

What class and what weapon are you trying to equip? As examples, rangers can't use bows, only longbows. Sorcerers cannot use staves, they must use arch staves.

You can just run past him pretty easily. It's not really forced anything, he just is guaranteed to show up there.

Yeah I understand all that. My pawn has been a Knight vocstion the entire game. I noticed that she was no longer holding a sword out in the field . I go into the equip menu and everything is blocked out from letting me equip. I changed their vocstion to something else and then go to the weapon shop in town, and same thing. It says all the weapons are unequipable.

Is this a status effect or something?

You're not at maximum carrying weight are you? I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Maybe check in the status menu under conditions for your pawn. If you don't see anything there, maybe rest at an inn, or if you get really desperate pitch your pawn off a cliff and resummon them from a rift stone?

Hmmm, I wouldn't mind hiring out your Pawn. Any chance you could share your Switch's friend code? Or send me a friend request? My friend code is 3449-8819-4575.

Sure, mine is SW-4854-4973-1689. I haven't put it in the spreadsheet since I'm playing without internet like 3/4 of the time and I'm not able to reliably update her, but anyone can feel free to add me and use my pawn.

I need to make sure to mention though that she's not the same level as me since I've been solo for the past 40-50 levels. She does have very good mage gear though.

The ONE exception, the ONE quest chain you simply can't afford to miss, happens really early on... At an early point, someone will run up to you and inform you that a girl's gone missing. Whatever you do, see this quest through before you do the later Main Quest mission that asks you to enter the area underneath the Pawn Guild, as doing so is the point where the missing girl mission vanishes from your log.
Is this with your cousin that goes to the witch forest or another one?
Did the pawn guild dungeon thing, but I did find her in the forest and escorted her to the house.
She said she was going back. Not sure if I had to do anything more of I messed up

Much obliged. I'll send you a FR right now.

Somewhat. If you don't like the drop for the red vocations, you can change to the yellow/blue vocations to get something else. So each weapon/armor/gear can be swapped between 3 drops, but those drops are fixed.

I have the quest to turn in the wyrmking ring, but know it's a good idea to keep it. However it looks like i have to complete the quest to advance the story so I'm kind of confused? Black cat for a forgery doesn't open til endgame right?

It's already open. It's just kind of a pain to find.

Well shit.

I tried to pull up the map in Gran Soren with ++. I ended up attacking a lady with XX. I got thrown in jail. What do I do now?

You're better off posting your Switch friend code here, or to the Google Sheet.
Hired Pawns from friends cost 0 RC, so it's worth having a nice number of Switch friends going.

I need to jump back on this sheet and add some more - I feel like I'm falling back on the same 1-2 pawns. Gotta share the love

Welp, attempted fighting Daimon once more. I didn't pay attention, so I didn't realize I lost two pawns before the 2nd part.

Half way down, bringing back a pawn, only to get killed. Weeeelp.

BBI 2.0 would be fun if pawns weren't so busy fapping on my achievements ...

There are quite a number of issues which arise when you push up the difficulty quite a bit. Incompetent AI, pawn disappearance bugs, cheap ass enemy moves, etc.

Most of those are resolved by playing it solo to be honest. I had a lot more fun that way. With pawns I was spending like 85% of the time reviving my pawns.

Nah. I like the little suckers.

That being said, there's a word in multiple languages that describe the last section (and probably the last boss) of BBI: shit.

No seriously it's not even hard, it's just tedious. Not sure if I'll press on. I keep getting shit drops and while the concept of fighting dragons on rooftops is nice in theory, in this game it's just a buggy mess.

Having large creatures in small areas clipping through the walls where you'll have a hard time hitting them (as the game is hitbox based)? Oh man, I'm too old for this.

Yeah the multi-dragon fights can be a little annoying, I definitely agree. Everything else though I don't mind. Except the lantern going out when I roll in water, that gets annoying too.

What happens if you wait, torture

Technically, yes.

I thought the final area in BBI 2.0 was intense, the dragons though were basically minor annoyances to the eliminates, and I pretty much exploited the dragons AI to make short work of them with Lyncean Shot since a well place shot ripped off one who health bar. And if they fall in front of mr? They get murked
