Ngl this riddler shit sucks. Reminds me of when Kanye tried to jump in and everything was kinda shit for a bit.

Yeah let's not get carried away and go full pizzagate lol if we take the account at their word they're making a few vague but relatively narrow claims for now. Ultimately, they're looking for buyers for their goods.

I'm not suggesting anything dark, but it seems like Drake has been using people and looking weird for a long time. Of course the Ridder could just be making empty threats.

This beef has me revisiting my favorite Kendrick Lamar tracks and I feel slow on the uptake because I never realized how many Drake subs are in "Rich Spirit" until this beef lol

The battle's over, Kendrick won, Kendrick's streams went up, Drake's streams and his public perception went down. Anything after that (like this Drizzler thing) is entering new territory. I'm just gonna watch this from the sidelines and be interested in what this is.

If this is truly a third party then shit, Kendrick's good. Drake's the only one getting the Ls here and that's what he deserves if anything allegedly is accurate.

The riddler thing was interesting last night but it's feeling clout chaser-y now. You can't start with video evidence that you have the items and then be like "look at these seemingly unrelated NYP articles" the next day. I'll hold a sliver of hope this turns into something Monday as they suggest it will, but this is feeling like being offered an RC-Cola when I want a coke.

In hindsight I feel like Kendrick's entire "All the Stars" verse was intended to set off a feud between them and is maybe what he was referring to when he said he didn't aim low enough the first time he shot at Drake (meaning the All the Stars verse went over Drake's head).

"Tell me what you gon' do to me
Confrontation ain't nothin' new to me
You can bring a bullet, bring a sword
Bring a morgue, but you can't bring the truth to me
Fuck you and all your expectations
I don't even want your congratulations
I recognize you far as confidence and calculated promises all in your conversation
I hate people that feel entitled
Look at me crazy 'cause I ain't invite you
Oh, you important?
You're the moral to the story, you endorsing?
Motherfucker, I don't even like you
Corrupted man's heart with a gift
That's how you find out who you dealin' with
A small percentage, whom I'm building with
I want the credit if I'm losing or I'm winning
On my momma that's the realest shit"

The problem is the song is the main theme to Black Panther. The lyrics could also describe the conflict between Killmonger and T'Challa. I don't believe there's a single person that heard the song for the first time and thought it was a diss towards Drake, if that was Kendrick's original intention.

I know for most NLU is the bop of the summer, but for me Euphoria is the bigger bop of the two.

Euphoria is not a "bop."

Euphoria ain't no song you shake your ass to. Euphoria ain't a club record. Euphoria is one of the best diss records of all time, but it's 6 minutes of lyrical miracles.

Not Like Us is a bop. Like That is a bop. The whole beef is full of great songs, but those two are the only bops.

So what are the chances we don't ever get a music video because Kendrick doesn't want to give drake a reason to drop more and drag it out? Not saying it would over shadow it but why try to extend this funeral when you don't have to ya know? Just a conversation to have since things are a bit slow and the riddler stuff is boring lol.

From everything we've heard, Kendrick wants to keep it going and is upset that it isn't.
The man has 5 more songs about this subject already ready to go.

Kendrick seems filled with venom for Drake and flexed he has more to drop. Letting They Not Like Us marinade is smart so not to overshadow the success but the response was so weak I don't see another which is killing me. Maybe a music video will reignite things and Drake will do something.

I really doubt Kendrick would be as simple as just spelling out the conflict of the movie the song was for. Much more inclined to think he used an actual real life thing that would work in parallel. Not saying it's definitely about Drake, but it definitely fits.

Especially as he's hated the man for years.

Idk guys, yall saying this riddler stuff is boring and clout chase-y, but to me it's easily the most intriguing thing going right now. They clearly has some type of evidence/proof with that video... Even if they're dragging things out, it doesn't change that they have dropped more receipts than anyone else in this entire thing. Also, time is warped when it comes to all of this. It's literally been less than 24 hours since he first dropped the video.

I just wish they would post less but have better post quality. The thing that gets me is the whole auction in November thing they are posting. Like I'm not waiting 6 months for this stuff lol. Hopefully we get more soon.

Man trespasses at Drake's Bridle Path mansion for second time to get his bike: police

A man who tried to access Drake’s Bridle Path mansion earlier this week returned to the property Saturday and was apprehended again for allegedly trespassing, Toronto police say.

In an email to CP24, Const. Cindy Chung said the man went back to the rapper's residence near Park Lane Circle and Post Road this afternoon "to get his bike."

Kendrick dropping MTG 20 minutes after "Family Values" and making sure Drake's best punch went totally unnoticed is some diabolical genius shit and pretty much wrapped this whole thing up.
It's unbelievable how he ruined Drakes killer blow. The man shot a video and everything, thinking he had this in the bag. Definitely the most amazing moment in this thing. Lmfao

I feel like there's an alternate reality where that guy never gets shot at Drake's house and Kendrick responds to Heart Pt. 6. I wouldn't be surprised if he felt uncomfortable with escalating further even if the shooting was unrelated. Kendrick seems like the type who would interpret that shooting as a sign to stop regardless of the motive.

So riddler could be some kind of information broker or celebrity trash seller or some shit and Drake's camp claiming his merchandise is fake made him mad cause his "integrity" got compromised?

I wonder if info riddler shared with K got questioned and he is now not getting money for it or something which is why the other drops are postponed and now he wants to prove his stuff is real.

Idk, I just want more songs from Kendrick and none of this villain shit anymore.

Just as a last thing, there were a few attack angles each artist used that I found odd.

First, did anyone think anything Drake was going for with the attacks on Kendrick's commercialism made any sense? They were weird enough coming out in Push-Ups (though it's at least internally coherent), but the angle he takes in the third Family Matters verse baffled me despite being lyrically clever:

Tying in the "darkest secrets comin' to light" to MJ's vitiligo is a neat flip, but does anyone actually believe Kendrick wants to be white because he did a Taylor Swift feature a decade ago? Doesn't this directly contradict the angle of him holding himself up as a "Black Messiah", and not wanting to be around "anyone that isn't blacker than you"?

Second, there were a bunch of Kendrick lines that seemed to paint Drake as a closet homosexual, and I wasn't sure how people took them.

There are alternate readings of basically all of these lines, but the "beard" one particularly stood out to me, since I basically only hear that slang in the context of hiding a gay relationship.

I didn't take those lines (outside of the beard one) as labeling Drake as a closeted homosexual, instead more of just emasculating him instead. Basically a bunch of clever ways of calling him a bitch or a fake "tough guy". Which is...whatever....and maybe a cheap insult in this world of toxic masculinity. Then again, it's the type of insult that will piss Drake off, lol.

Kind of how I see the third verse in Family Matters as well. It (you really wish you were white deal) doesn't really make any sense in context to Kendrick and his actions, but I bet it annoyed him.

The beard angle, I'm definitely used to seeing that in regard to homosexuals, but feel like Kendrick is using it here to say Drake is hiding a bunch of sex offenders at OVO.

It's crazy going back to some songs after the past couple of weeks. It has made a lot of the music even better for me thinking that Drake was the target of all this hate from Kendrick for so long lol

Drake and Killmonger both:
  • Act entitled be at the top of a culture that they weren't raised in
  • Use their connection to that culture for self aggrandizement without respecting the history there
  • Use and abandon women as a means towards success
I totally believe the song can be about both.
