Accusing Kendrick of using baby keem as a ghost writer is some Trump-esque projection.

And completely not believable which is Drake's major problem here

I'm just gonna sleep.

If the real nuclear exchange happens, I'll just see it in the morning as the world around us is in ruins.

Gentrified Brooklyn
Never got the Drake hype, listened to Family Matters and still don't get the Drake hype. That last third is gonna incense KDot something fierce. Maybe his ghostwriters just threw all that shit in there to fuel the flames without any care to what actually follows.

Also why is he taking shots at Rakim?

Also also, ain't no way Keem writes for Kendrick. What a fucking bold-ass claim.

It's been a rumor; Baby Keem did all the heavy lifting on To Pimp when he was in 8th grade in between COD matches. /s

Irony is the last Keem record the rumor was going heavy the opposite way to the point I felt bad for him since it's going to take work to get from under Kendrick's shadow. So maybe Keem is the ultimate winner here, lol

lmao he actually got material from Mr Morale like Dot said.

This is pretty good for Drake but he should have came with receipts or name names for who told him what because these are just some Shaderoom bars otherwise.

he's already pre-empted that the dirt is just going to be mining the very things Kendrick opened up about regarding his marriage and sex addiction on Mr. Morale. He further has lines on 6:16 saying "I discover myself when I fall short" speaking to his perspective and the general thesis of Mr. Morale being that he isn't ashamed of his short coming or failures and that he has committed himself to growing and becoming a better person, that he can't be a savior figure, etc. Kendrick has been pushing the self-reflection and improving oneself angle and saying he isn't afraid of having people know his shortcomings because he is secure in who he is.

Kendrick portrays himself as a secure individual, he put his shit out there and told the world he ain't ashamed to show his flaws and growth.

He really is recycling Kenny's own material with the exception of some stupid shit like Keem powering Kenny's success and abuse allegations that he has done nothing to support other than mine the troubles marriage Kenny himself exposed to the world.

You gonna have to have receipts on wife beater if you want me to believe it.

Changed my mind the last third is the better part of the Family Matters track. It's boring but fine enough to keep things going.

That was okay….🤷🏿‍♂️

Not a lot being said…I'm gonna have to listen some more…didn't really hit as much; the singing kinda wasted half the diss…

Edit: oh shit WHAT!?!!!!

Finally someone drops their nuke, and...it's ok.

First off, as a song this is kinda bad. IMO the worst song of the beef. Mediocre beats, very disjointed. The rapping was pretty damn good though, especially on the second beat. Caught a beautiful pocket.

The diss, well based on the beginning I'm guessing he's had this one sketched out since Push Ups was recorded. Going at everyone when no one but Kendrick has said anything since the first drop, not ideal from a focus perspective. Halfway through the song I was ready to pack Drake up, but the tea spill about domestic abuse could be a serious issue for Kendrick's image. Gotta see how Kendrick responds.

Overall, I came away from this one wishing we got some more of that great wit from Drake on this (the "big D" bar was hilarious). He's never gonna out-rap Kendrick, but he can kill him with humor. The discourse about this track is gonna be toxic as fuck so I will be limiting my intake until Kendrick comes back lol.

what made me realize he was going shallow on the fakeness attack

like theres sommit to talk about with kendrick being too 'high and mighty' sometimes but you gotta go hard if you ever wanna make a dent

til then folks are still gonna shuffle 'alright' every now an again

Drakes a marketing genius. He can lie and mend words that may have no receipts and people will still eat it up. Pulling another Pusha T by just being like naw I'm the greatest

Ehh feels more like a regular song just saying mean things, expected more. Also, he trolling with him saying the word "ni**a" ma times after the beat switch

A lot of folks have been saying this is his only way of "winning". He can't try to beat him lyrically. He has to make good, listenable, enjoyable songs instead of trying to make Kendrick look bad.
