also for those that want to consider making an RPG or something. i would check out Aecert as he has some really good logic systems that might help you out.

Branching dreams. you can link 100 levels per dreams level and then you can branch those some more. (unless they've changed the limit)
to have variety of things break each regions of a game with various monsters that way you can conserve thermo. that way you can give more details in your player, inventory systems, magic, combat, etc since those are going to have to be persistent.

Here’s my first creation. I dabbled with the creation tools a little bit during the alpha, but I mostly played others’ creations. I finally felt inspired enough to publish something. It’s mostly assets from other creators thrown together to create a pretty scene. Next time I’m going to create something completely from scratch!

Edit: I love the lighting tools btw.

Loving Dreams so far. But especially the surfing part. I do however think it will be a game for the 'elite' when we talk about creating. Making something truly amazing is so difficult and time consuming.

Take this Star Wars-level for example. It's not great and it's also not bad, it's ok-ish. But you can be certain it probably took him more as a dozen hours to make. It does make me wonder if the more casual Dreams player will not give up quite fast with creating.
You can always grab a few community creations and build your own level.

I have so many ideas in my head that it's hard to know where to start. I think I'll have to set up a robust, plain character first, that I can use in several of them for a cohesive look. I'm looking towards some forgotten retro games for inspiration. Before trying to make the next Red Dead Redemption, it might be worth making, I don't know, the next Gun Smoke first.

According to Alex Evans in today's Eurogamer Interview, VR seems not far away :)
i wonder if they'll beta release it somehow.

but then again. how many have dreams also have VR lol. it'll feel like beta since a few have it.

Looking good! I'll try it out later.

Violent yes, pornographic no.

As for copyright issues, there is a soft request that people respect copyright and make original content. Thus far I'm not aware of anything being deleted due to copyright infringement. It does however preclude you from being featured by MediaMolecule.
Technically, I'm pretty sure you can make and even share pretty much anything, you just can't publish certain things.

FYI: It seems MediaMolecule on YT is doing some basic "How to" videos. They might help some of you to get some ideas or to help figure out something you were wondering about.

Jesus I’ve never heard my pro as loud as when playing the intro - it’s insane. Uncapped frame rate maybe?

Started messing with the music creation tool last night. Obviously you can speed up and slow down tracks, but can you specify BPMs? I'm trying to make a cover of a song, but realized after a bit that the in-game tempo was off from what I was trying to do. I can estimate the BPMs pretty closely, but just bumping it up percentages until I find the right tempo might be difficult for me.

For any new players today my wife and I have made an ingame collection of our 50 favourite levels. There are some duplicates, but between the collections you have almost 100 amazing Dreams to get you started:

Sams 50 Favourite Dreams
Lees 50 Favourite Dreams

Follow Ugly Sofa Gaming in-game we’ll be sure to make more collections like this.
THANK YOU for this!!
I turned Dreams on yesterday after not playing EA for a few months and was lost. I wasn’t finding things I wanted to play that I hadn’t yet, in their sorting options, I will use these lists tonight

So, before i do that for Feufollet to, i actually reworked Little Jumps, with an ending, a title screen, a way to restart levels and select them and its way more easy with 2x the check points and larger platforms! Feel free to try or retry it :p

Art’s Dream is one of the best experiences I’ve had this gen. Media Molecule can do no wrong.

Ach, "The Pilgrim". I've played it almost just after finished "Art Dream". I just expected 5-minutes game... what a surprise!

I highly recommend this dream.

I must say it is truly fantastic how easy it is to have links to things in Dreams. I can just click and add and it will be on my console later on when I go to play. Queuing up a lot of recommendations. Wonder if MM could actually create a link that automatically adds to your queue? Surely that must be possible.

The ease of discovery and sharing on a website like this, or links on Twitter just feels so instantaneous. If you’re actually playing the game you can hit a link to play now. And thanks to the Dreams design there’s a couple seconds loading and that’s it. It’s amazing. Not to be underestimated how this will help the entire ecosystem of Dreams with this sort of linking.

And it’s a good theme. The art book is really nice too, I scanned it last night but will go back later for a more in depth look.

Didnt check the music though that’s not really my thing.

Was going to hold off on this for awhile to see how it developed. But, nah. MM are awesome and I want to see things grow. Not sure I’ll ever make a single thing myself, though.

Just woke up and they are at like 12.5K viewers on Twitch now. It keeps growing!

Was up all night watching the 24 stream celebration and finally crashed halfway or more during Mm's 2hr stream.

So happy for them, and the community :)

To be fair, it's primarily one guy who has 12k viewers. But yeah, hopefully it catches on more!
