Haha, yes they were fun! Were the mine areas in feufollet inspired by Donkey Kong Country?

Little Jumps reminded me of Good Job Human crossed with Super Nebula Boy. I like how a lot of the platforms have rocky edges jutting out to give you a second chance if you don't make a jump perfectly, or accidentally run a little too close to the edge.

Yeah DKC for the mines :) There will be some subtle to less subtle references in the game, like in the fire level otside in the 4th world the sky is trying to be the title screen from FFVI lol

Was it the one with the girl in red and had a katana?
Called....cmon your killing me.

Seriously though one of the dedicated threads (or maybe there should be a thread for this of its own) should have a curation list that can be added onto of era user recs.
Most likely Akaoni:

SEKIROっぽいチャンバラアクションです

Yes, it was Akaoni - a great little proof of concept with really well-balanced combat.

How do things look genuinely so real? Like how are these things created, even?

I'm kinda hoping the forthcoming Digital Foundry stuff will go a bit into how Dreams actually works because it's crazy. The two things that underpin pretty much all graphics in games, polygons and textures, don't exist in Dreams at all.

I too can't wait to see what they'll have to say about that engine. It's really one of a kind, totally different from what everybody else has ever been doing.

Dreams on PS5 is ‘obvious next step’ says Media Molecule

The ‘obvious next step’ for PS4 exclusive Dreams is a version on the PS5, according to LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule.

Healey said that a PC version of Dreams is not currently in development, but he implied that a PlayStation 5 was much more likely.

The key point is we're treating this as a platform, it's not a game. We're gonna keep supporting and adding to it. And a lot of what we add to it is driven by what the community wants really, because they're the life blood', said Healey.

PC version of it could have infinite thermometer.

But could that be ported and play to PS4/PS5 Dreams?

Should try more dreams but I can't stop playing Blade Gunner xD

A really well made 360 degree shooter and a must try for Resogun fans !
It's also motivating to continue because you earn money for purchasing upgrades like better boost or stronger bombs.

I've said it before, but I really hope someone makes an R-Type game, and make it look a lot better than R-Type Dimensions' 3D hd graphics, originally made on Xbox 360.

Dreams has a Pegi 12 rating. Are you still allowed to make violent games or porn games? And what about copyright issues?

Violent yes, pornographic no.

As for copyright issues, there is a soft request that people respect copyright and make original content. Thus far I'm not aware of anything being deleted due to copyright infringement. It does however preclude you from being featured by MediaMolecule.

HAUS of BEVIS

Enter the Haus of Bevis - a museum. You are a deluded housewife grappling with her life's decisions- lost in the museum. Try speaking to the art... Or does it speak to you? It's an open world. Try not to lose yourself. VR enabled- not optimized yet

Loving Dreams so far. But especially the surfing part. I do however think it will be a game for the 'elite' when we talk about creating. Making something truly amazing is so difficult and time consuming.

Take this Star Wars-level for example. It's not great and it's also not bad, it's ok-ish. But you can be certain it probably took him more as a dozen hours to make. It does make me wonder if the more casual Dreams player will not give up quite fast with creating.

Over 3000 viewers on Twitch now
the launch day feels. and its still morning for the US..

and for new creators testing out levels. make use of the new Test Mode features to see which parts of your level is high in demand that might cause slowdowns.

also not everything needs to be detailed. especially things that glow/emit light. you can almost drop the details almost all the way down.

Dream surfed for a couple of hours last night. This game is incredible and you should get it. The stuff people are going to make is going to be wild.
