Maybe the idea is to keep the suspense so people will keep talking about it.Might have been wise to make this announcement on a different day if it is real.

If it's an April Fools my guess would be it's from a proof of concept that didn't get approved/greenlit/etc. that they want out there
But I guess that's just my naive hope
The "here is a game you would want, but april fools" jokes are never funny, specially in these current times
These are the worst kinds of April Fools' jokes because all you're doing is crushing dreams.
agreed. i don't see the point, like "haha you're not gonna get this game you like"? very funny. The "here is a game you would want, but april fools" jokes are never funny, specially in these current times
It'd be funny if it was Mother 3 though.agreed. i don't see the point, like "haha you're not gonna get this game you like"? very funny.

Yeah, it's always been a big disappointment. I remember there was an 8-bit Deus Ex game they jokingly announced one year that actually looked pretty legit. The "here is a game you would want, but april fools" jokes are never funny, specially in these current times
Putting aside the validity of the announcement, doesn't the new version of DuckTales deserve an original game, rather than being skinned over an existing one? Nobody put a hard cap on the amount of good DuckTales games that are allowed to exist, and this generation deserves their own new games to enjoy.
Parody is protected. If this is fake, considering they're using a Disney license, couldn't those crazy copyright demons just press a lawsuit against them for using their properties? Like, Disney doesn't fuck around even with fake branded shirts.
If it's a fake, wouldn't this basically just be fan art, since they aren't making money with this or anything? It would be stupid and tone deaf to make a joke using someone else's property, but I can't see there being any real repercussions other than making people angry and disappointed with yourself. If this is fake, considering they're using a Disney license, couldn't those crazy copyright demons just press a lawsuit against them for using their properties? Well, its QuackShot"S", not QuackShot...but yeah at least bundle it together with the classic game haha.Putting aside the validity of the announcement, doesn't the new version of DuckTales deserve an original game, rather than being skinned over an existing one? Sometimes these april fools games do turn into real games, like Blood Dragon and Fighting EX Layer. The "here is a game you would want, but april fools" jokes are never funny, specially in these current times
In what sense is this parody? It's not satirising or passing comment on anything, it's just (sorry) fake news.
