They made a Collector's Edition which was leaked a couple of weeks ago, there's no way they are cancelling this game at this stage.
I don't know about a total reboot (that would be a lot of work flushed down the drain), but I'd bet it's something along these lines.
That "please get excited > everything is on fire" shit is reserved only for Square Enix. :D

I don't think so. If they were going to announce a cancellation, they would just out and say it instead of "Hey, tune in next week for when we actually say it's done."

I've been really hyped for this game. Really enjoyed the first with friends.
First game sold at least 4.5mi on Steam, if turns out the game is EGS exclusive thats a bad sign that theres something wrong with it.
Interesting that this is the day before the Square Enix showcase. I'm expecting they're either rebooting development, cancelling the game, or best case, they're getting a trailer ready.

Theyre gonna cancel the game and announce something new, which is why they're getting people in their discord server so they can have a base of people attached to the New Thing already

They have kinda "announced" their new open world RPG IP back in 2016...before revealing the existence of DL2.
I'm predicting it launching in some sort of paid Early Access/Beta state and also maybe adding nextgen consoles to the roster.
