This thread provides an overview of E3 and how to get the most out of it.
Note: The thread will be updated continuously over the week as more information on the various press conferences etc. emerges.

E3 2019 | Rules and Reminders
With E3 just around the corner, we know that everyone is extremely excited to watch the press conferences, discuss the news and announcements, and participate in all the excitement here on ResetEra. As E3 is one of the most active times of the year here, we'd like to go over some of the rules and guidelines that we will be observing during the week of E3 starting on June 8th, 2019 and ending on June 14th, 2019.
- Use Threadmarks – Official thread creators should threadmark the beginning and ending of the conferences in their threads. It is also advisable to threadmark the start of important moments and reveals during the event. This will allow other users to easily navigate and catch up with these fast moving threads.
- No reaction threads – To prevent clutter we will lock all reaction threads during E3. A reaction thread is a topic about a hot take or some other personal reaction to anything that did or did not happen during E3. Examples include "Why wasn't the Switch 2 announced?", "Did Ubisoft just win E3?" and "I can't believe the leaks were real". These sort of topics can be discussed in news threads and conference threads.
- Put effort into new news threads – During E3 there are sure to be many notable gaming announcements. If you are creating a news thread about such an announcement please take the time to appropriately title the thread, keep it updated with all the details, and make sure that links and screenshots are included when appropriate. Low effort news threads may be subject to a lock.
- Do not thread whine / driveby post – This is a rule that already exists, but we'd like to stress that these types of posts will be tightly moderated during E3. Do not come into a thread, write something deliberately provocative, and bail out. Do not complain about the existence of a thread either; ignore it altogether if you have nothing to contribute.
- Don't bump pre-E3 threads – Please do not bump old threads with new announcements or news that comes out during E3. Either post new news in a brand-new thread or in a thread that was created specifically to discuss that conference.
- Use the report button responsibly – This is another rule that already exists, but bears repeating considering the level of activity during E3. Please make sure that you have a valid reason for reporting a post and that you can articulate that reason clearly in your report. Keep in mind that frivolous reports clutter the queue and can slow the process down for everyone.
[*]The General Guide and Terms of Service still apply – The above guidelines are not the only rules that we will enforce during E3 week. All of our rules outlined in the Guide and ToS will still apply as usual.
[*]Enjoy E3 – The Electronic Entertainment Expo is an annual celebration of gaming and everyone should have fun during this event!
If you have any questions about these rules, feel free to contact the staff via private message or the contact form at the bottom of the site.
A series of frequently asked questions and answers. The full FAQ is available here. First and foremost though, let's go over some security related matters.

All E3 attendees will be required to show a government issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) in order to pick up their badges and holders on-site to gain access to the event. Do not use a fictitious name. The name on your ID and the name on your badge must be the same. E3 Show Management and/or E3 Security Officers may request attendees show ID at any time.
Is there a shuttle bus service available to the LACC?
Complimentary shuttle bus service is available to all E3 attendees who have booked reservations in the official hotel room block. A shuttle schedule is available at https://www.e3expo.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/E3_19_Shuttle-Schedule.pdf
Where should I park when I arrrive at the LACC?
The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) has 5,500 parking spaces with easy public access. The parking fee is $25/day. In addition to the LACC parking, there are multiple lots available nearby, including at L.A. Live adjacent to the LACC.
What dining options are available at the LACC?
Concessions schedule and availability are subject to each show. Best is probably to check http://www.discoverlosangeles.com/what-to-do/restaurants for a good guide on LA food culture. That way you can see more of Los Angeles than its Convention Center.
Any particular items I should bring to E3?
I would recommend bringing these items:
- Deodorant
- Water Bottle
- Hand Sanitizer
- Comfortable Shoes
