Yeah there's some real good ones this month.
Thatgamecompany talks about their game Sky and multiplayer stuff, that's the cover story.
There's a big piece about how the military is turning to gamers and if the skills transfer
20 year anniversary of Everquest and they talk to the people behind the game and how it came to be etc
Long play is about Sea of Thieves
Previews are Days Gone, RAD, Tales of the Neon Sea, No Straight Roads, Satisfactory and Audica.
Shame they didn't get round to reviewing Baba Is You, guessing it may be coming next issue - feel that could do quite well with Edge
What makes it interesting?
That DoA6 review and score is really weird considering they've given pretty much every fighting game I can recall a 7 so long as the gameplay is good.
Given that EDGE uses the full scale I'd say that CD3 score is more than fair, even generous given the resounding mediocrity of the game.
DOA6 - which I own - really isn't a particularly inspired sequel even if the overall game is solid and polished.
And kudos to DMCV - game is utterly fantastic.

Well deserved considering that Crackdown 3 is a definitively better game than Anthem
I have access to both CD3 and Anthem through subscription services and I'd rather play DMCV or Sekiro. (Which is what I'm doing.)
No reason to play middling software with so many great games available.
There aren't many games with more bugs than Trials Rising and it got an 8.
Yeowch at DOA6. Not really surprised at Anthem and Crackdown, neither are worth the asking price.

Fyi I'm not trying to defend Anthem, I didn't like it myself. I just it find it funny that an important big budget game for EA scored lower than a huge development and quality mess of what Crackdown 3 turned out to be.
Didn't they give Bayo 1 and 2 10? They like character action games
It really needed more variety on the stages, but a 9 is a pretty amazing score for an action game of this type, dmc v getting recognized by the press
Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 both got 10s from edge. They have a type....

The game literally broke for them on the final boss. 4 is deserved.

Not really, mostly the same stuff. They go in hard, and deservedly so, on the loot system and loot quality.
