I thought the rule was specific games that were over million sellers.I'd say maybe he's including AX sales figures... but the number of units of those made was prolly only ever in the 100's.
GX did get a Players Choice re-release in NA which is pretty odd. Anyone know what the requirements were to achieve the Players Choice label back then?
As much as I love the guy, sometimes things are just good as they are and don't need to be super innovative all the time. At this point I'd even just be happy with F-Zero GX remastered with online play, I'm worried what they might try and turn it into.

Given the recent "roughly 1:1" quote on Yakuza sales row vs domestic plus the recent PC port Yakuza 0 is probably over a million by now.So F-Zero GX was Nagoshi's best selling game? Super Monkey Ball also did over 1m globally so that'd be his second best seller I assume. Interesting that he hit these sales heights on Gamecube and wasn't able to replicate them on far more successful platforms like PS2, DS, PSP, Wii, 360, PS3, 3DS or PS4.
Ohh well it safely hit that at rock bottom prices or otherwise thats for sure so I guess its not so odd it got such a re-release.
Iirc, they're working on a new IP, so you'll get your wish.Sure would be nice if him and his team could make some non-Yakuza games/reskins. Feels like its been far to long since they stretched their arcade legs. AV was also behind the real good Shining Force remake on GBA. I know they did Binary Domain but thats over 6 years ago~ c'mon Segac fund 'em for something fresh!

Sato has said they're not really interested in the switch as a platform as of this time. Not really surprising considering I'm pretty sure they're done with the 5 engine and have fully moved over to the Dragon Engine.Actually scratch that. How about F-Zero ga Gotoku instead? Play as Captain Falcon on the streets of Mute City. The actual F-Zero game will exist as well but it'll be supplemented by a fairly lengthy single player story involving Captain Falcon voiced by the VA of Kazuma Kiryu.
That plus they have said they have no idea where to go, knowing full well they and everyone else knows ECACTLY where to go: HD and online.Hasn't F-Zero GX often been claimed to have been a sales flop? It selling over a million sure as hell says otherwise!
I was considering single platform, Monkey Ball 1 and F-Zero _X are on more than just Gamecube too, but yes multiplatform it's possible Y0 has passed a million. Y1-2 probably have too if you count the HD Remaster (not Kiwami).Given the recent "roughly 1:1" quote on Yakuza sales row vs domestic plus the recent PC port Yakuza 0 is probably over a million by now.
Arcades.
nope, it was contracted to sega, but it's nintendo everywhere in the world.how come these sales were never listed in Nintendo's sales reports? was this game counted for SEGA instead?
Sneaky Nagoshi should've aimed for a coup lol.I got his approval, but our CEO was really mad about it (laughs). He said it was unfair.

that would mean they'd have to have screwed up ever since the GCN then, because their charts are updated regularly. the former is much more plausible than 17 years of incorrect reporting on just one specific gamein that case there must be an error somewhere. either Nagoshi had incorrect figures or Nintendo screwed up somewhere.
I love Yakuza. But F-Zero GX is the best racing game ever...
I have a plan. Just once, allow syn sophia to make a full console Yakuza. I mean, they made Def Jam and the N64 wrestling games, so they know their fighting. But they also made Style Savvy/Style Boutique, so they'll also make the best darn hostess game ever lol. I promise the game will be amazing.
Then with the dev team's hands free... F-Zero NX! Everyone wins!
But really, Nagoshi is very talented and has made a lot of great games. I didn't ever consider Super Monkey Ball to be a very cheap, very quickly developed game by a tiny team, because it's just a really great game overall.
The last time they tried to get a developer on it the offer was rejected
Is this real?
Super long feature in the latest issue of Edge (received today)
F-Zero GX is so good. I would kill for that team to make another F-Zero.
Have you ever seen the guy:His Yakuza comments were interesting, I guess I never imagined him living a Kiryu lifestyle. But as they say, write what you know.

A lot of developers back in the '90s seemed to have been partying it up. Kazuma Kaneko at Atlus is another one that comes to mind.
Probably F-Zero hostess clubs.
