my 2nd time to edc. i went solo last year, might be the same situation this year too. amazing experience.
Damn, super impressive that you attend solo. Any tips? Thinking about doing it myself.

just explore, take your time and try to catch a few sets you really want to see. its a big place and sometimes you just lose track of time while enjoying the moment. i tried to go see everything but i also missed quite a few sets, but thats okay. also take breaks, chill, eat and enjoy yourself. some people meet groups but i met a lot of other solo people like me. while i didnt stick with anyone it was nice to see that there are plenty of people who go solo to edc or even other events. :)
the worse part was the hotel cost LOL everything else was great. Well, not uber when i was trying to get to day clubs and etc, but thats the price of vegas that weekend.
Wow, that sounds cool as hell. I go to a lot of Insomniac events solo (and work Ground Control, so I'm always solo on my breaks) but EDC is definitely a White Whale haha. Cool that you met up with other soloers.
Also, speaking of Wasted Penguinz...whose going to Escape?

Sure! I'm getting there at 5 ish to see Tinlicker (if you like Lane 8 you should like em) but later in the night you've got Claude Von Stroke, A-Trak B2B Yehme2 (I don't usually like trap but Yehme2 had my surprise favorite set at HARD this uear) and then of course Tchami X Malaa. If house music is your thing I would also recommend checking out Green Velvet at least for a bit, he's a legend.

Speaking of Seven Lions.... Got his show tomorrow night. I dragged my friend along to Junkie Kid and Lady Faith. The best I can do is tag along with him to Seven Lions.

Seven Lions was aight. Played a lot of the more mainstage kind of Psy Trance so that made his concert aight. Jason Ross on the other hand dropped a ton of actual Prog House. Mitis? I don't want to talk about Mitis.

Yeah I was goona try and pull off doing Dreamstate of Friday while I'm in cali but I decided to save money instead. I'm not the biggest Trance guy but I do love hanging out at the Psytrance stage
Damn. Maddog and Anime?! That's going to be a fucking riot. Have fun man. The small ass venue that I talked about 2 months ago had a Hardcore area and man...... There was literally only me and about 2-3 other people dancing our asses off. I can't imagine how it would be like with hundreds of people hakkening it up to Maddog and Anime, lol. Super jealous.

I'm very surprised to learn that Minneapolis was the first place to let San Holo start his first tour. I'm very proud to be from Minnesota tonight lol. In case some of y'all might not know either Minneapolis was one of the very first places to book Yellow Claw and Skrillex when they were first starting out. Go Minnesota :P
