Sounds great. In general, I hope there are roaming enemies rather than all statically placed.
I'm assuming the world has to be pretty big for them to justify horse traversal. Roaming enemies feels like a given if they aren't aiming for complete barren atmospheric vibes like SotC. It doesn't sound like it from their press release " Danger and discovery lurk around every corner in FromSoftware’s largest game to-date."
That would be...incredible. I hope the draw distance is good so you can see it far in the distance.
Put your money on a Dragon/Wyvern or Giant.

I got a bet going with a friend that ER will at least have one huge roaming boss in the open field that isn't restricted by a fog gate.
For sure. I can picture fighting on of these while on horse back, SOTC style

Omni seems to confirm that and more in his hype post. We aren't ready for this game...

" I expect fans to have experiences of being drawn into eyecatching locales like a sailor drawn to a siren while other darker things roam, lurk, skulk and stalk just out of view. "

" Especially since this is easily From’s most immersive world yet filled to the brim with secrets and stuff From has never done before in multiple areas."

" If you love level design and that’s one of your favorite things about these games as it is mine, then you’ve got nothing to fret about either. Interconnected design is larger and deeper than ever and archaeologists and spelunkers might just be in for their biggest playground yet."

Why do we give a dude who made "lul beating up this feminist in RDR2 is so fun lul" or "lul feminist fed to a grizzly" videos a platform exactly.
Uh,....ok? I have exactly watched zero videos of this guy, that's why I asked if he's a From fan. Can't expect me to know he at one point made videos like that. Also....i avoid RDR2 videos like the plague, since I've barely really started with it myself.

Well, he uploads every soundtrack from From games.

Also, there's nothing secret about Dragon Ball Kakarot.

Tales of Arise could be tho.
Tales of Arise though has been shown in gameplay form, albeit incredibly brief. Elden Ring we haven't seen a single gameplay bit of. But still, Arise is possible.

I am very much looking forward to Arise but please let this be Elden Ring.

I hope this is true. Most open world games have terrible level design, which is why Elden Ring’s direction was very saddening.

I'm still deciding on how much of a media blackout I want to partake in. I indulged on Sekiro pre-release media and I feel like it spoiled a lot of the things in the game for me. I most probably won't be doing the same here, but I sure as hell want to read as many impressions as I can without spoiling anything.

I mean that's on Bandai. If you're going dark for ER you best not use anything that has a screen once their marketing engine is firing on all cylinders. I loved the Dark Souls 3 trailers but goddamn they were spoilery.

Benjamin Roach low key confirmed 2020 release date, no surprise there. Release date announcement with details is probably not that far off anyway.
I mean at the top of that same page it also mentions it as TBA...I dont use artstation so cant confirm but maybe they are forced to include a date if they want to include a game in the "productions" section.
Regardless, 2020 was already the most likely release date, but I'll agree that this makes it feel a bit more real

I was able to learn a lot in a short time, and coming from a background in Unreal Engine, I was often involved in research and development for the in house tools and pipelines.
This is an interesting quote, Im sure the systems had to be addapted to the open world and horseriding but Im curious if we're going to see a big overhaul of their engine. Sekiro was already a big step up compared to the iteration used in ds3-bloodborne
What games has Benjamin Roach worked on before?

Just saw this on Gematsu.

It would be a surprise if they start talking about AC before Elden Ring ships.

FROM made like 3 games in 7 years right so there has to be a side game they're working on which is not BB2 or Sekiro dlc. Maybe it really is this Armored Core.

If Elden Ring doesn't make an appearance at VGAs I'll still be very happy with an AC announcement.

If you’re bored, new fake leak:

Sekiros sword clashing system is implemented in certain classes and skill trees
That wouldn't make a bit of sense. Having the enemies have completely different combat mechanics depending on the character would be ridiculously hard to balance, especially in co-op.
