I've never seen production like FROM SOFT. Bloodborne, sekiro, dark souls 3. All in seven yearsMultiple teams working on different projects at the same time. Sharing resources with each other.
Yeah it's pretty nuts. Well-oiled machine.I've never seen production like FROM SOFT. Bloodborne, sekiro, dark souls 3. All in seven years
If there's no trailer the TGAs then I don't know when is the next time we see it. E3?
Personally, I don't see the appeal, seems like just being different for the sake of being different.
I get the idea of seeing a lived in world for once, but what that means to the actual experience of playing the game, outside of just window dressing stuff, is that we now have either a bunch of meaningless fluff, or way too much shit to pay attention to and keep track of.
I rather enjoy the fewer but more meaningful encounters with NPCs, where almost every line is worth analyzing at least a little bit. Random NPCs doing random tasks and repeating lines only become memorable because of how often they repeat them, breaking the illusion. Lines in Souls become memorable because of the unique style of writing and acting, and how much thought we put into each line to understand more of the world.
Variety is good, of course, but I'm not convinced it would be worth it. I'd rather just play other games if I want to see a lived in world.
I booted up Sekiro again and... as long as this is nothing like Sekiro I am excited.
lol. You'd think people would have learned by now

Hope the combat is similar though. The slow methodical approach is outdated imo. They have shown with Bloodborne and Sekiro that fast paced fluid combat is what they excel at.
Man, in 10 years they put at least 4 games in my top 10 of all time, lmao.in 10 years they made Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Deracine, and Sekiro. It's unreal
Combat yes, but the constant having to block /deflect, hell no.
Block/deflect is life itself. I just hope were not fatrolling into eternity. Rolling needs to stop.
🙏
Rolling in all directions is so dumb.
You better run though, I can hear the rolling defense force coming.

Elden ring was announced as a game for this generation right? Cause the next is right around the corner.
Game of the forever right there.Dark souls world building and character build options, Sekiros fluid combat and traversal, Bloodbornes creepy atmosphere and weapon variety.

It was announced for this gen yeah but I still think it should be a nextgen launch title.Elden ring was announced as a game for this generation right? Cause the next is right around the corner.
Gonna have to hit you with a negatory on that, partner. I still like my slow, heavy builds too much to give that up. Playing Nioh just proved to me that From are the only ones that can do that kind of gameplay justice while keeping combat relatively pacy. It just feels better when they do it.Hope the combat is similar though. The slow methodical approach is outdated imo. someone correct me if i'm wrong, but they've already confirmed the towns will be "empty." I wouldn't expect the NPC population to greatly exceed what FROM has developed in the past.I kinda hope From tackles a world that feels lived in, like a classical town? Where people go on about their daily lives.

Seeing as how this is supposed to be their most rpg game yet I'm sure armor weight and shiel classes and so on will deffo be in.Yup I hate seeing those rolls after playing BB and Sekiro. And hoping ER doesn't go too deep in the weight management. The only aspect I truly hate in Souls, testing which armor to play on with such a punishing gameplay.
I completely agree with this.Personally, I don't see the appeal, seems like just being different for the sake of being different.

I would like Dark Souls' weapon variety instead of Bloodborne'sDark souls world building and character build options, Sekiros fluid combat and traversal, Bloodbornes creepy atmosphere and weapon variety.
It's probably gonna be more like DS than BB in that regard for sure.I would like Dark Souls' weapon variety instead of Bloodborne's
I'm certain they've already in interviews around the trailer reveal to expect more of the same in terms of challenge level.I'm curious what the difficulty of this one will be like. From's games are all pretty hardcore skewing, but with George R. R. Martin attached and a dark fantasy setting, they may be going more mainstream given how big GoT is.
What do people think? Guaranteed, at least the hardest mode will rival From's most frustrating delights, but will additional modes/QOL/etc. be added to try and widen the audience?
Well From has covered some grounds. BB was Souls-easy and Sekiro probably too hard, so I gotta believe seeing how DS3 changed after BB that they will absolutely nail the difficulty curve in ER. Edit : Even if they don't what am I gonna do. Not play it? lol that's not happening.
