The CEO recently tweeted a tongue-in-cheek response to a Pornhub video featuring a couple having sex in a Tesla using the Autopilot feature. "Turns out there's more ways to use Autopilot than we imagined," he tweeted, which he then followed up with the daddest of all-time dad jokes: "Shoulda seen it coming …"

The video, posted last week, featured porn performer Taylor Jackson having sex with her boyfriend in a moving Tesla. Although Tesla's website states that its autopilot technology is only somewhat autonomous, and that drivers should keep "their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any time," this does not appear to be the case during much of the (obviously NSFW) 8-minute clip: though the driver is occasionally seen lightly placing a hand on the steering wheel, his view of the road is largely blocked by Jackson whilst the two are engaged in vigorous coitus.

Apparently, Pornhub viewers weren't overly disturbed by the couple's flagrant violations of motor vehicle safety protocols: the now-trending video now has 6.3 million views, with Jackson (who has rebranded on Twitter as Tesla Taylor) tagging both Musk and Tesla in a tweet: "Holy shit, I made @Tesla the #1 search on Pornhub."

In an interview with Insider, Jackson said that she had experience with the autopilot feature, so she wasn't overly concerned about getting into an accident: "It was mainly a straight road, but it had a lot of traffic. We had a lot of cars driving by us," she said.

Surely they've basically made a film of losing their licenses? US traffic laws confuse the shit out of me so I couldn't say considering it's legal make FB live videos etc while driving in places.

Am I the only one concerned they did this on an actual road, putting other people at risk?

I'm all for autonomous vehicles because I hate driving and dealing with other bad drivers, but Tesla cars are not autonomous.

People do worse is less autonomous cars than this.

Getting a road blowie is equivalent to driving drunk no doubt

People are already doing this in dumb cars. If they're GOING to do it (and they are), I'd rather have them do it in a Tesla.

Do the CEOs of those dumb car firms openly support and condone that behaviour?

The CEOs of those dumb car firms get far worse is less autonomous cars than this and don't have time for Twitter because they aren't coked up like Elon Musk.

(not to say they aren't coked up, but name me someone who is more coked up than Elon Musk)

I think this would be a "funnier" joke if Elon didn't continually tweet about how great autopilot is while his company has to keep reminding people that autopilot doesn't actually drive the car for you and you should never remove your eyes from the road.

There's dumb shit happening all the time

What should be concerning is a CEO downplaying this and continuing to push that Tesla autopilot is some hands off thing.

Tesla doesn't need to advertise because the internet does it for them, companies WISH they had digital presences as loud and viral as this

Yes! Yes you are. 😒

The people that did this were performers who likely get paid for it, they should know better. Just because people do dumb shit all the time does not excuse them doing dumb shit. Tesla is crystal clear about it not being fully autonomous, at some point, consumers have to take responsibility of their own actions. I am not going to look at Musk on this one.

I hope those 2 face consequences honestly, though they probably won't.

Yeah I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Hahahahahaha yep people who don't know what computer vision is think this stuff works and then they die in accidents
