I could easily see Fire Emblem being delayed. Yes they said it's coming 2018 but that doesn't guaranteed it's coming.

Japan is one of the strongest Pokémon markets. E3 is irrelevant from a Japanese perspective.
Game Freak has not been very present at E3 ever, AFAIK.
Some gamers subsisted on a diet of Madden and COD.

To be fair, that was 5 games in 9 months, while this is 4 games in 12 months.
Then again, he/she is ignoring literally everything that released/is releasing before September for no reason, so...
I underestimated Nintendo, I think their strategy for Pokemon is really smart. this year's release will be very nostalgic for a lot of people, and in the same time it will give them the time they need to pepare the new gen game and make it up to the higher standard of a console release.
Bit more then 5, I assume XC2, Zelda, Splatoon 2 and SMO & MK8 were your big 5, but some of the others saw good sales too, and gave some much-needed variety.

plus Y1 had the FE Warriors game (and Y2 has the HW Warriors deluxe thing), but those aren't really first party.
Y1 was very strong for nintendo first party. Guess we'll see how strong Y2 is going to look next month.

TPCi prefers to do their own thing for the initial reveal. That said, Pokémon has grown in prominence at E3, just not for the initial (proper) reveal.

Right, but this year probably has great games beyond the 4 mentioned (FE, Smash, Pokémon, Star Fox) as well. There's Kirby, Mario Tennis, Yoshi (allegedly). And then the third party offering are somewhat better than last year, too, so I think 2018 could have a very competitive offering compared to 2017. Now, the individual quality of all titles in 2018 is up in the air, but in potential it could be close.
Eevee would totally be the best out of the two of them. Not to mention you could get early Espeon or Umbreon easy.
Not necessarily in Japan, since the reveal is close it might be a western marketing source. Considering how she's only hinting at names and accessories that will likely be sold in the west too, it'd make sense.
If I can get Blastoise on the cover, every Pokémon game until the end of time can be called Blue for all I care.
In pokemon yellow Red/Ash started with a pikachu while Blue/Gary started with Eevee, there are rumors (Pixelplex's drawings) about the new game being some form of a pokemon yellow remake.
If I had to guess, Fire Emblem will likely come out in December.
Well we kind of knew that already. It's the main Game Freak team and they were working on Sun/Moon until the end of 2016.
But Nintendo hasn't had a single delay since the Switch era started. I think we can hold them to their word.

No one in his right mind would openly leak Pokemon.
It happened in the past and Nintendo/TPC sued hard the leakers to the point where they couldnt afford financially to go to trial.
So Nintendo won't ever have 1 delay for the entire Switch generatuon?
Delays happen all the time and just cause they haven't delayed anything yet didn't mean it won't happen.
I personally think Fire Emblem will get delayed just a gut feeling I have. I reckon they probably targeted Yoshi for early this year but delayed it internally butbe don't know as they haven't gave a date for Yoshi other than 2018.

But if I had to guess, it's to have deniability if the "leak" doesn't pan out. So a leaker/insider can say "I never said that!" and save face. But being this cryptic gets on my nerves, too. Even more so for official marketing "teasers".
That's why Nintendo gives themselves a vague enough release timeframe so that we won't actually see any internal delays happen. While a delay is possible, I don't see it as likely due to Nintendo doing a great job of setting release date expectations lately.
Because leaking hard information about Pokémon releases is a real good way to get a source in major trouble.
