Isn't GenDesign a concept studio? They bring the ideas and Japan Studio actually builds the games? Who is actually developing their game then?
Good question. Definitely not Japan Studio so another Japanese dev will have to step in.

This is almost certainly going to stay an EPIC exclusive. If the games won't be coming to Steam I hope they at least are on MS store. Couple of euros for gamepass seems like a great price for something that isn't on Steam.
Fwiw, that's probably pretty normal for publisher deals. This still seems like a better deal than developers usually get.So unless you make your money back, (minus whatever costs are/aren't covered), you're not 'turning a profit'.
there it is
wonder if that means Control 2 just doesn't come to Steam at all
they shouldn't, at least not whilst the consoles take such a large cut.
Or it means Control sold very poorly, and the vast bulk of their revenue for the game came from Epic's exclusivity deal. Hence why they'd do it again

More games that will sell like shit on PC.
Clearly Remedy doesnt give a crap if the game sells or not as long it gets guaranteed bucks from exclusive deals.
Not like these studios set charts on fire either, so there is no real loss here.

I'm not sure we should be calling this a bad deal when we don't know what other publisher deals are like. This is likely true of other publisher deals as well.Wait, after reading the deal... nothing until Epic makes up all the money back? Thats not that good of a deal (even if they pay 100% of the costs of the game).
How well it sold on PS4?Who knows how Control would have sold if it had released on Steam.
Never again ?Never playing a Remedy game again I guess, well that's to bad.
You just won't buy a game on Epic's store? And here I was looking forward to the next Playdead game.
Oh well, can't blame anyone for getting that money.
It's debatable. These three devs obviously wouldn't have taken the deal unless they saw the potential in it.Wait, after reading the deal... nothing until Epic makes up all the money back? Thats not that good of a deal (even if they pay 100% of the costs of the game).
