That's the real question to ask, but I'd be content with a Captain Earth collab.
If you don't want it tainted, don't watch any of the other series/movies.I probably shouldnt bother with AO right?
I tried watching it a couple of times but it didnt hook me like the original
I don't want to taint my love for it
There's... a sequel?
I was just aware of the main series and like a sequel seriesHahaha, I actually called this when discussing the game with my brother. The mech designs are by Shoji Kawamori, who did E7's designs - so I joked and said "you'll have to buy it when they add the Nirvash"
...and now they have. So with that in mind... when's Optimus Prime?
They've been doing a trilogy of new movies to act as a kind of reboot (Hi Evolution or something) but the first two were apparently god awful and the third one's gone AWOL.
No there's not, don't listen to them, no such thing exists. They also never made a movie either.
Lol, I was going to say, that was probably the one thing they could announce that would get me back into the game after getting bored ~5 hours in.Apparently this and the second crossover mech were datamined a while back and just didn't spread here
supposedly this is the second one, but I don't recognize it
Yes, it's awful don't watch it.
With pretty much every take on the story that isn't the original TV series turning out to be terrible (the manga, the first movie, the sequel, and now these new Hi-Evolution movies), I'm quite convinced that E7 was a fluke.
I wouldn't say it's a fluke so much as the story they wanted to tell was already told. Dai Sato was the creator/chief writer, and he's about as consistent as anime writers get - contributed a lot of the best episodes of Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Stand Alone Complex, Wolf's Rain, recent Lupin the Third, etc. That said, he was only involved with the first season and the two movies (which I haven't bothered with, so have no idea about).Or a sign the writer really needed the curbing done by his original editor
I just appreciate both suits are drastically different from the base obes
Some great mech action, if you like the genre it's a great example. If you hate the mech genre you'll hate this
First there was a film that came before the sequel series that was mostly made of recycled and traced footage. If you can separate it from everything you know about the original one (especially the characters, who look the same but are completely different) it's not completely terrible, but it tells a story that has nothing to do with what most people liked about the original. Nobody asked for it and it's not good enough to justify its existence.I was just aware of the main series and like a sequel series
There are films now?
There was a guy at the old forum who was adamant that it was way better than the original lol
The first sounds like a mess and I kinda wanna see itFirst there was a film that came before the sequel series that was mostly made of recycled and traced footage. There are also a series of movies out now that retell the series with some major changes such as Renton being in a military academy, already being in the custody of Ray and an Charles, and the Gekko State being part of the military. It also uses old footage, frequently switching between aspect ratios. I haven't seen them but I also haven't heard anything good.

That is fantastic.Apparently this and the second crossover mech were datamined a while back and just didn't spread here

So anything yet on availability for the western version of the game?
Maybe in an hour and a half when the eShop usually updates? I would assume it'd be any day now.
If you're buying DXM make sure to shop around, the electronics retailers around here have it for half its original price already. Seems to have flopped.
I can't really agree with that, between blink, gyro controls and wing mode femto, the speeds you can potentially move at are frankly insanity.
Oh shit Oh fuckApparently this and the second crossover mech were datamined a while back and just didn't spread here

The local store has a shelf full of it, that's Europe though so no idea if NOE overestimated the game's sales potential.I'm only seeing sales for $50 and that's online. How many copies were made physically? I'd like to wait for a sale but I don't want to wait too long if it had a limited print.
