Fantasy Football Discussion Thread - 2019 Season - Year of the Kicker!

I find "expert rankings" to be just as ultimately useless as anything else.
It's fun to look back at rankings for the week prior and compare them to the actual stats. It's a guessing game. I feel like they're wrong more than they're right. Obviously some stuff is easier than others.. Starting Kamara vs Tarik Cohen or something.
I feel personally that Rodgers is due an offensive explosion. I also also feel like Thursdays suck for Fantasy. I also also also feel like I'm always wrong. So.. who the hell knows. Throw a dart!
Yeah I think I should take the "prove me wrong" mentality with Rodgers. Once he has that "comeback" game I'll trade Wilson.
Ideal situation both have monster weeks, and the rookie QB's everyone picked up like Josh Allan, Kyle Murray, etc, etc have awful weeks so people will want to take Rodgers or Wilson.

It's early in the season but think... Wilson is playing Arizona.
Week 1: Stafford did amazing vs Arizona (28 points in my league, points will vary)
Week 2: Lamar Jackson did amazing vs Arizona (31 points)
Week 3: Kyle Allen did pretty good vs Arizona (25 points)
Considering Wilson balled out last week, he is in a great spot this week.
Philly?
Week 1: Case Fucking Keenum did great (29 points)
Week 2: Matt Ryan did okay (20 points)
Week 3: Matt Stafford did terrible (12 points)
Maybe the Philly defense is stiffening up? Stafford played both, and lit up one vs the other..
I'd lean Wilson all things considered.
Marvin Jones. Lions will be playing from behind in a likely shootout against the Chiefs.
Aaron hasn't been getting much run, has a shit matchup on a Thursday night in a game where Rodgers should be able to chuck it all over the field against the depleted Eagles secondary (something he hasn't been able to do all season).
I'd feel better about Jones if he had more than one career receiving TD.
On the above Wilson vs. Rodgers question... start EVERYONE against the Cards D. Period.
In my deep .5 PPR league I am stuck making some less-than-ideal roster decision, though I am 3-0. Need a WR, a RB, and a flex from the following group:
Royce Freeman, Diggs, Agholor, Cohen, Dede Westbrook, Dorsett, Justin Jackson.
I think I'm going to play Agholor tonight at one of the WR spots. Leaning towards playing Jackson Sunday after seeing what backup RBs have done against Miami this year.

I've somehow ended up with Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson in my league. Is there some sort of unwritten rule about playing fantasy with starting 3 receivers on the same team? Is it a shit idea?
I actually think Detroit will do OK against the Chiefs so I'm treating this as a bit of an insurance bet.

In one league I picked up Demarcus Robinson and Hardman was still available. I really really want to pick him up but it would be maddening especially considering Hardman does his damage on so few catches. I'm not sure any offense, even the Chiefs offense (unless they're playing the Dolphins), can support three receivers sustainably except in desperation, and there's a fourth receiver who will eventually come back too.
If you don't have any better options or if it's ppr, it's not the worst thing.
KC is perfect for fantasy, mvp caliber QB who is breaking the game and a defense that will make the offense have to score more. over/under was above 50 last week, same this week. mahomes is on pace for over 6,000 passing yards and over 50 TDs. last week starting robinson and hardman would have gotten you around 27 points in 0.5 PPR, the week prior would have gotten you 46 points. until tyreek comes back you could do a lot worse than starting both robinson and hardman.
Need some opinions.

Lamar Jackson shows a lot of high scoring promise. 3 20+ games so far, which is a small sample size but he's looking good.
Hill is 1-2 weeks away from coming back. Dunno if at full capacity either. I have Kelce so I can still benefit from Mahomes offense. I won't exactly have a star high ceiling receiver if I trade Hill away though.

Man, do I feel like a Cheshire Cat, where my biggest concern this week--playing against a guy with Adams as his WR1—is whether I should take a chance on Scary Terry.

I'm benching Thielen for Kirk and Brown this week in one league. Benching a big name player is always hard, so do it at your own peril. There is logic to it tho, Thielen played against the Bears 10 times, he only has 1 TD in those games and averages something like 33 yards per game. Also, I wouldn't play Jones over Jackson.
Penny will be a game time decision, so I'm not very comfortable playing him tbh.

Watkins should feast. I believe it's an indoor game so mahomes should go crazy. Kupp is the next best, for the 3rd I would go either Evans or tyrelle.
I would also leave kerryon in over Darrell. McCoy is playing and should get most of the carries.

I'd still take Robinson because the Broncos offense sucks, and there's a chance if Jalen Ramsey plays that he'll be on Sanders.
My roster has been all over the place since last Sunday night.

Julio, Thomas, and I'd fire up Kirk. Seahawks pass D been poor. Expect Murray and Kirk to connect today. Saying this as someone who doesn't own Kirk in any league.
Melvin Gordon is supposedly active today, but to be used on a limited basis. Trying to decide if he's worth inserting into my lineup against the Dolphins over Chris Thompson or DK Metcalf
How risky do you want to be? Got an alert he'll be used on an emergency basis.
I'd roll Metcalf or Thompson personally. If think Giants roll with Jones, Thompson a nice PPR play.
I think I saw somewhere that Melvin will only be used "in an emergency situation" i.e. one of Justin Jackson/Ekeler go out
Jackson's already not playing. It's the Ekeler show so I would only expect to see Gordon if Ekeler needs a breather. So maybe some goal-line work after a long run or something... presuming the Dolphins could stop Ekeler before he scored a TD (which is doubtful).
I wouldn't even consider putting him in if it weren't for the matchup. Even Tony Pollard had a 100 yard, 1 TD day against the Dolphins in garbage time
