The Japanese Netorabo Survey Team have released the results to a questionnaire with the question: “What is your favorite Persona series?

From March 25th to April 1st, the Japanese Netorabo Survey Team conducted a questionnaire with the following question: "What is your favorite Persona series?"

The survey received 1,341 responses in total, and the top 13 results can be seen below.

13th - Persona 4 Arena (1 vote)

12th - Persona 4 Arena Ultimax(2 votes)

9th - 3 way tie between Dancing All Night, Dancing in Monligth, Dancing in Starlight (3 votes)

Makes sense. Surprised to see P3 above P5, though. P3 nostalgia hitting hard 17 years in combined with P5 burn out after 7 years of it, I guess. Though a poll of 1,300 people isn't going to mean that much, I guess. If everyone who likes Persona ever was polled, I'd still put my money on P5 taking it.

P3 is a fine game but a lot of people are really nostalgia blinded for it. A remake with a ton of quality life improvements would be popular for sure.

4 is objectively the best game and I'll die on this hill.

Well, especially since I think it's better than Ultimax, at least from a story perspective.

I'd also put Q2 over Q1, for that matter.

You're god damn right.

In truth, although P3 will always hold an incredibly special place in my heart, I recently did a marathon of the modern trilogy and P5 just outclasses it in nearly every way. But I suspect the P3 remake will take back the top spot.

I would put P3 first, then P2 and then P5. P2 has the best story, great characters and Megaten DNA music but the gameplay aged dreadfully.

The original article is correct. The top 3 Persona games are all great, but:
3 > 5 > 4.

Again, all great games, but I can't argue with that ranking

I'm still working my way through P3, but I gotta say, I'm having a harder time finding motivation to play it. I've played P5 and 4 before, (4 being my favorite so far), and I'm finding everything else to be a considerable step down, aside from the story and characters. I'll still finish it, but it's been less fun then the former two games.

It would be so dope to see P2 get a P5 style remake that uses its gritty 90's anime aesthetic. We need more of that art today.

I wouldnt say Persona 3 is better than 5 Royal. Royals ending managed to beat 3s to me and thats Persona 3s best strength. The rest of the game in Royal is also much smoother.

I only played P3(P) and while I liked it, it can really draaag. The same dungeon over and over is boring as fuck, and I feel like nothing really happened in the story until like halfway through. The parts that were good were good, but overall it wasn't a great game. A remake could probably solve most of its problems though.

I'm alright with the list but yeah, P4 is my favourite ever, followed by P3. I don't even count 5 in this conversation, hated it with a passion.

I give it to 3 that it introduced the modern Persona formular but i certainly wouldn't vote in rank #1.

P3 really didn't age well with all the downtime, non existent story for many months and the very boring tartarus.

Fair Ranking would be 4/5 > 3

Can't decide who should have second place: 4 or 5. 4 is great, but sadly it has homopobic Hanamura and shitty Teddie. Five is superb, but the main cast is so dull and not memorable, with the only exception being Joker and Futaba.

Glad 3 is in first place. Best Persona. Always. Remake must have the FeMC route, though, and MC route should get rid of the boring social links. FeMC route improves an already excellent game.

P3 feels very genuine in ways that didn't fully devolve into wish fulfillment self-insert fan service stuff in 4 and 5. You can see inklings of that, but it feels like it earnestly grapples a bit with the messiness of interpersonal relationships.

Glad 2 is so high up though. If Atlus can put out a barebones P3P port they sure as fuck can do a barebones P2 collection as well.

If they nail the P3 remake that game is gonna skyrocket in popularity. It already has all the pieces it just needs to be refined and brought to current standards
