Anyone picking any of his American made films is wrong and should be ashamed of themselves. He made some good stuff in America, but nowhere near the level of his Hong Kong work.
Among many things I love about Jackie Chan's choreography and stuntwork, he's the only martial artist star who actually seems believable in fighting multiple opponents. His moves are so fast, so fluid and unpredictable with that improvisational use of the environment - yet he also still gets bruised and injured throughout fights - compared to pretty much any other fighter I've seen. Plus his stunt team is so good at never doing the "wait around, fight one at a time" thing, so Jackie is always an acrobatic flurry of constant offense-defense-adapting/improvising. No one else has done it better.
Police Story is such a classic. I love that movie. Really anything from his Hong Kong heyday in the mid-80s to early 90s.

All the usual ones have been mentioned. No love for 2017's The Foreigner? It's a different kind of movie from his early classics, obviously. It's a Western movie, though it does have a bit of the old Chan moves in there, which isn't bad considering his age. Jackie Chan goes on a revenge quest after an IRA bomb kills his daughter. Not saying it's up there with the 80's stuff but it's worth a watch.

I love them all, but Police Story 1 and 2 are quintessential Jackie to me. I think I prefer 2, just because some of the goofy Cantonese comedy in 1 is a bit tough to get through on your fiftieth rewatch, but honestly you can make a compelling argument for either.

So, can this be a place to recommend some of our favorite moments from the Seven Little Fortunes?
Project A 2, Dragons Forever, and Drunken Master 2 have my favorite fight scenes, but I think Rumble in the Bronx, Operation Condor or First Strike are the most watchable. Some of his other films are such a slog to get through.
I'll never understand the love for Who Am I? And this is coming from someone who "scooped" ain't It cool news back in the day about it, and bought the import DVD as soon as I could. End fight is decent, but boring. Rotterdam fight is fun, though. Acting is some of the worst in his catalog, though.

Can't really disagree with this, though Wheels on Meals has one of the greatest fight scenes of all time.
Man, I loved Van Damme as much as the next kid growing up in the 80's, but how in the world did that guy ever have a career with his slo-mo fighting style while stuff like Jackie Chan existed.

Drunken Master (1978) is far and away the best. Hwang Jang-lee as the villain & Yuen Siu-tien as the master both put in fantastic performances too.
I have a massive soft spot for The Young Master (1980) as well. The bench fight with Yuen Biao has always been one of my faves. I always wonder if the original cut for this movie still exists somewhere or if it was junked.

Probably Who Am I? based on how many times I've watched it. Crime Story is up there too, it doesn't get enough love IMO.
