Fear the Walking Dead returns for its fourth season Sunday, April 15 at 10/9c and will air at 9/8c for the remainder of the season beginning the following week. The fourth season consists of 16 episodes and will be split into two halves, as usual. The second half of the season will air later this year, most likely in September.
This will be the first season with new showrunners Andrew Chambliss (Once Upon a Time, Dollhouse) and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time, Dead of Summer). They replace Dave Erickson, who left to develop new shows for AMC.

In Season 4 of Fear the Walking Dead, fans will see the world of Madison Clarkand her family through new eyes — the eyes of Morgan Jones, joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead.
In the new season, the characters' immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes and threats. They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead, all to somehow build an existence amid the crushing pressure of lives coming apart.
There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead.
Cast
- Strand finds himself at a crossroads between the man he's been and the man he wants to be.
- In Season 4, Nick has found a new way forward in a walker-infested world. He'll have an approach that allows him to protect the people he cares about and still be the person he wants to be.
- Luciana is now in a very different kind of community. It's a place where she will take her first steps down the path toward trusting people again.
- Naomi is a capable survivor who'll have to keep her guard up when she crosses paths with Madison and her family, and we'll come to learn that Naomi has a very good reason for keeping people at a distance.
- John is a man who has been living on his own for some time. But we'll come to learn that his isolation is not of his own choosing.
- Al is someone uniquely qualified to survive – to thrive, even – in this world because of her experiences before the apocalypse.
