If there isnt a quest like this for Butterfingers in FF7R, i will be legit sad now.
You know how Star Wars does really weird branding like Vader on a bag of apples? Woulda been good in this situation.Perrier would have been nice. Or maybe some single malt scotch.
I'm very confused. Are these digital rewards for the game or real life things?
I went down a rabbit hole and I regret it?You don't want to know how many bars you'll need to eat to be able to handle the Busterfinger
There's so much Monkey Paw stuff with the remake, it's remarkable.lol. I just can't.
I just can't.
Imagine telling the kids in 1997 this was to come.
I'm not one for supporting Nestle, but Butterfingers taste like doodoo after they got sold to Ferrero. Guess I'm buying some anyways.
Yeah foods in the 90's are above such shameless cross promotion.lol. I just can't.

I really don't see the difference frankly. Foods have been using games as cross promotion since the dawn of the medium.these aren't super comparable because you don't have to buy the cookies to get a thing inside the game, lol

This isn't even the first Final Fantasy to do this so I don't understand the overreactions I guess. 14 had crosspromotions with honey bun for crying out loud. Yeah it's silly but but as long as it's not something genuinely important(which I don't think any of the listed items are) I don't see the big deal, at least not to the point some people in this thread are going.
I'll admit that's a new one to me and yes I think it's silly but I guess for something that sounds like it's just an in-game accessory it's hard for me to never upset. You can get the best reward(the theme) at two so it's hard for me to be upset at this I guess.Normally I'd think it's dumb but harmless if it was the equivalent of one honeybun, but "tiers" of rewards where you have to buy ten is a bit gratuitous.
Putting this in spoilers because it's from the datamining. Are these just cosmetic or do they serve some game function?
Don't care really if they are just for looks, though the Tifa theme is nice. Hate Butterfingers though.
Makes me really sad to find out they changed the Butterfinger recipe for the worse, I was really forward to trying them again. The last time I had Butterfinger was in the '90s when they had The Simpsons commercials.

Datamining suggests that all of these items have attached stats and in-game powers. For instance, the mako crystal gives you resistance to all elemental damage and the superstar belt resurrects you once per battle.
