How dumb is the Haas marketing team? Someone is going to lose their jobs for this.
You have got to vet partners, especially a shady one like this.
I cant remember a bigger joke as a f1 sponsor for a long, long time
Smoke and mirrors, hypnotism or threatening to break someone's legs. Or all three. The whole backstory to this must have gone over my head.
How exactly did these people manage to get themselves a prime spot on a formula 1 car?
The vetting process went like this:The vetting process should have gone a little like this.
VP of marketing Haas F1
"Hey Haas marketing team..I am both thirsty and in need of a bit more vetting of our potential new sponsorship partner. How about you head out and buy me a can of Rich Energy...what's that? You cam't find their amazingly successful product for sale?
Hmm we might want to hold off on the announcement...get me a coke instead."

"This Rich Energy company seems super shady."
Gene Haas
"Did the check clear?"
Mental, from beginning to end. The drama and excitement that's been missing from the racing has been made up in silly season antics since the end of 2018 season.
You're absolutely right, I love this sport.Off-track antics has always been part of the appeal of F1 to me. It's half-racing and half-drama.
I doubt the sport will allow that
Eh, Rokit is a bit of a fake vanity startup but it at least has actual, traceable money behind it, it's basically a entrepeneur motorsport fan siphoning money into racing from a tequila billionaire. It's not an obvious money laundering front like Rich Energy.
Hopefully it's in the form of a 10 minute rant from Steiner.
I don't even know why, but it kind of gives me the same vibe as one of the HRT liveries which was a personal fave:
Even their battleship grey livery looked a lot better than the current one.
I wonder what the Haas cars and team will look like tomorrow?
I guess they will keep the logos to not risk breaching any kind of contract while they look at the legal stuff?
One source told Motorsport.com: "The deal is not terminated and William has no authority to do so. The investors are trying to clear up the PR mess, but it's business as usual."
In fairness, Rokit actually exist and have products. lol

My niece works for them, and took my wife to Williams for the French GP. She got to chat to Sir Frank for a while. :)
"Sacked" he's probably wearing cement shoes.Take this with a pinch of salt until properly verified but apparantly the termination Tweet was a result of Rich Energy investors sacking William Storey.
Former Sainsbury's boss Justin King, appointed as advisor to Storey and Rich's board of directors in April, is believed to be involved in sorting out the situation.
King's son Jordan, an IndyCar and F2 racer, had announced a sponsorship tie-in with Rich back in April.
Indeed :)
Interesting bit of info about Jordan King:
twitter is down at the moment
