Also a technical malfunction killed DRS for everybody until lap 18, so it was even less exciting than you may think.
Seriously?!
Well, were those first 18 laps slightly more interesting without DRS?

Nope didn't see any of the actual action.Ricciardo got Hulk as well, don't think that was on screen either.

F1 race direction has been a shitshow for longer than i care to remember.

What's even the point of him making stuff up?Max's issues would be more believeable if he wasn't doing rocket laptimes.
Ferrari has the meatiest engine currently, though.

An engine is much more than just power. Weight for example has a massive impact on the chassis, drivability , reliability and efficiency are also key aspects. Mercedes is ahead here. Ferrari has the best engine over one lap.Hulk deserves so much better. And wtf, ending the season in December is freaking ridiculous. We're turning into NASCAR starting next season, except the teams need 747s to move shit around and not just a pair of trailers.

I wouldn't be so optimistic about 2021 guys. History shows that with every shake up there is one team ahead of everyone else ( 88, 92, 2005, 2009 , 2014 anyone? ).
No one is expecting it to fix everything, but it would at least be different! And the idea is to continuly keep making improvements from there. It'll also take a couple years for the budget capping and better prize money distribution to take better effect.I wouldn't be so optimistic about 2021 guys. I agree! This, to me, was perfect evidence to drop DRS altogether.I liked those laps without DRS. They actually had to work for overtakes again.

They said these things many times in the past. Wanting =/ Achieving. We have to wait and see if the FIA will be able to stop every loophole exploits. One of the intentions behind the changes in 2021 is to reduce the gap between front and back in general. They want it to be about tenths rather than seconds. A situation where a particularly good quali lap can put anyone in the top handful.
Of course. It's still very much understandable people are looking forward to the changes. They said these things many times in the past. Wanting =/ Achieving. We have to wait and see if the FIA will be able to stop every loophole exploits.
Yep, so many of the best overtakes this year have happened in the sidebar with no replay. The direction has been a joke, there's no point going to great lengths trying to improve the spectacle on a technical level if asshat directors are just going to butcher it anyway.Thrilled to have experienced the last lap duel with Hulkenberg by watching the positions sidebar because of this years shambolic TV directing

DRS is absolutely included for 2021, they plan to evaluate it at the end of the first season to see if it's still required.
Well that was a fun first season! Been listening to Alt/Shift-F1 for ages now but Drive to Survive pushed me to try and watch it and most of the races were at perfect times for me. Really enjoyed lurking around here reading much more knowledgable people argue about Ferrari and Mercedes. See you all next season!
Boring championship with one team dominating. Glad F1 provided some more juicy battles this year.
Congrats to Sainz for winning the Formula 1.5. Championship. Well deserved.
Grosjean is a fucking disgrace. This hack still has a seat while others don't...
