This is my first foray into making something like this for the FGC so go easy on me ;) Tripon did a great job in curating info for the weekend fighting game threads in the *other* forum so I hope I can do it justice. I'll ensure to start earlier from the next batch of events. So...here it goes.

Canada Cup 2017 is gearing up for another record breaking year! Over $50,000 CAD up for competing over and 24 hour Open venue for the casual gamers!

Thanks to everyone's continued support Canada Cup 2016 was our biggest year yet, and we're only looking to build on that.

We've upgraded our venue to the larger Hilton Airport in Toronto, ON (YYZ is a 1 min from the hotel). This means more dedicated space for all players and spectators. 3 Ballrooms with over 23,000 sqft in space.

10:00am - Doors Open, player, check-in, warm-ups

11:30am - On-Site (walk-in) registration ends

12:00pm - 1v1 Pools 1-2 start

2:00pm - 1v1 Pools 3-4 start

4:00pm - 1v1 Pools 5-6 start

6:00pm - 1v1 Pools 7-8 start

That said, I'm loving watching any Kolin's pop up. Learning tons of things by observation.

MVCI Canada Cup is super stacked, RayRay drowned in losers (to Clockwork who is also in losers).

It's very likely that the stone bearer will be decided by like 5th or 6th position.

I just love Decapre's design so it's a shame she didn't have much limelight. Still hoping she makes it in SFV as they pretty much have her model from story mode.

Also, Zephyrus getting triggered in that chat lol.

So apparently Holy Order Troll whom is a TO apparently says she begged Quackbot to take her spot she didnt want her reg to go to waste.

She says this happens all the time and is getting called out now.

How the fuck is this person a TO at any even if she thinks this is ok?

She was cheap and required skill. There is a reason why every Viper player never blocked on wake up and landed Ultra almost every round. But really the only reason I brought it up was to joke about how one of the commentators(who isn't a SF4 player) kept calling her burn kicks "fire legs".

And apparently the Canada Cup Master Series is returning next year. Wonder who will be apart of that line up. I think Daigo is the last champ of the previous Masters Series but sadly I don't think he deserves a spot at his current level. But it'd be fun to watch Punk, Du, Tokido, Fuudo, Yukadon, and whoever else that is worthy go at it.

She's cheap in the sense that she isn't playing street fighter, nothing wrong with cheap, Seth is cheap as hell and I think it's great. Viper's skill though largely came from the execution side of things not actual fights and match ups. Like it still takes skill and match knowledge to win but she was way heavier on the learn how to play the character you'll do good side of things.

Eliver qualified out of pools in winners...then had to do it all over again because of the fuckery. Ended up getting put into losers. That fucking sucks.
