So in case yall missed it Vergeben who has pretty fair leak record has been posting stuff again. He's saying a LOT of stuff and apparently SF6, MVC4, Janemba in DBFZ , Viewtiful Joe 3, and other stuff are things he's heard.
This is the post thats flying around the net today
Here's the parts quoted about fighting stuff. Feel free to look into the entire post if you want for other stuff. Again take all leaks with a grain of salt and as a "subject to change even if true" just like always. However, this is NOT the first time there have been leaks and hints saying MVC4 is coming and coming along slowly with the intent of taking a lot of time on it. Keep hope alive yall.

Before I even get into any of this, these are not all E3 related. Only the ones that I specifically mention E3 are related to E3.

Janemba will be officially revealed within the next month for DBFZ. His trailer is an E3 reveal.

Street Fighter VI and MvC4 are both in development for next gen consoles as I have said before. SFVI will likely be out first from what I have heard because they're taking their time with MvC4.

If true it holds to all the other rumors that said it was happening but they wanted to take their time with it and do it right because it needs it. Also makes sense to me that it'd need handled and even talked about well after the next Disney MCU planning schedule of films was revealed. Usually marvel games reflect current marvel interests. Watch us get Shang Chi before Daredevil in an MVC game at this rate lol.

Keep hope alive yall. If we see most of that e3 list it'll lend a lot to this rumor. The Janemba thing has me taking notice because an accidental comment by Larry Hryb for Xbox was mentioning Janemba like he was in the game. No statement was ever made on it.

We all know which one.

I still hold out hope if he gets in someday he's like Yatterman 1 reloaded. Disjointed hitboxes, full screen confirms, and lots of crazy command run/jump pressure.

Disney needs to chill and let MvC be MvC
No one needs indepth cinematic stories or weird MCU nonsense in a fighting game. FGC is poverty no money to be had

Just more of this and good character rep

After how wrong Vergeben wound up being about info related to SCVI, I make a point of not listening to him.

thats what surprises me if there is an MVC4 game being developed this soon. Marvel was so controlling on MVCi that I'm surprised Capcom is willing to work with them again this soon.
MvC:I still sold a shit ton. Undoubtedly a commercial success (especially if it had the tiny budget we presume), despite the damage it did to Capcom and MvC's brand.

The biggest problem for these games and Capcom's fighting games has ALWAYS been the budget, outside of SFxTK, which was a game that didn't know what it wanted to be. It's really the case with much of the games industry nowadays. I'd rather a decent budget than any particular subset of characters.

It was guaranteed to sale 1 mil, despite the bad press. Don't think it got to 2 mil plus Capcom did describe the sales for Infinite as "weak" so I don't think I would say it sold a shit ton... The damage to the brand from MvCi is the major thing however, many would be hesitant in buying a new mvc game based on past experience from mvci. It probably won't even be announced for probably 2 years minimum but based on the rumors, them seemingly in development this soon makes me surprised that they signed pen to paper with marvel so soon after mvci. How SF6 turns out will be the biggest barometer of success for mvc4, so I can't wait to see what they are going to do with that game.

It may matter who "they " are as well. They may not be dealing with the same crowd if the older rumors are true that claim Combofiend went on to be a Disney guy and now he's the rep. That'd make a relationship very easy since he was the Capcom guy before. It'd essentially be seen by capcom as now "their man" is calling things for them on the other side so things play their way more and they get the proper kind of support and understanding in discussions.

Agreed. Hopefully though if even half the old rumors are true a new page is being turned on the series and its being reviewed as a good idea presented in the wrong manner, at the wrong time, with the wrong amount of effort. Marvel vs Capcom has power to move numbers. Its undeniable. If viewed for what it did for its budget vs its competition its not bad at all just not realistically something that should've been expected to move numbers like an MK11 or something for what it had behind it at the time.

Only thing for certain is that there has been a lot of talk in the past 8 months from rumor folks and players in odd comments or outright leak attempts and all of it follows old patterns of how folks acted before the MVC3/UMVC3 stuff was revealed after a year or more of that sorta pattern if I recall. Its a good sign. Hopefully it comes true. Capcom has been making some really good moves lately and restoring a lot of great titles with new IP and remakes.

If I see more talk, hints or whatever I'll post. Only thing I haven't done is search key folks on game credits and divisions at capcom and marvel and follow their social media to watch for hints or outright accidental comments like the xbox guy had with Janemba recently. All I get to do on breaks at the plant is surf the phone so maybe I'll spot something. If not...pretty fun seeing the community these days. Lots of MVC2 streams, MVCI vids and random twitch/twitter vids for vs stuff lately.

Let's face it the only Marvel game we're getting is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 I have lost all hope for MvC4. Esp after MvCI never got any x-men we got played boys/girls

I can hardly blame Capcom for backing away from the game after all the blowback but x-men would have been sweet I would logon online and play

I just played some Melty Blood. Feels really damn weird man. So poverty.
Play Under Night if you basically want a non poverty version of that.

I think the xbox twitter account confirmed the Janemba reveal after the fact. (even though it was clearly revealed early)

The other stuff is all fairly likely, MVC4 is probably the only leap, I think I've seen everything on that list as a rumor here before, :P

Doin some sprite study tonight. Found this gem and felt like it was better to watch than half the fight scenes in anime lol.

God those two were a nightmare on max difficulty. Damned psychic AI.

Does this topic have any way to deal with looking for locals? I've lost my group once we all split up to different universities, and I want to start getting some locals in again if possible.

Man we need to see more MVCI play. The swag in it is so fun . Really liked Widow's and Winter Soldier tools. Any big tournies coming up with this on deck again soon?
