Thats cool to know, Im planning my trip and still dont know what to play there, Im not expecting to go out of pools on any game, but I just want to play some games
Just enter everything, that's what I did. Dont even OWN some of these games, but fuck it, I'm not going to finals, I just want to have a good time.
The only games that I dont want to play are

-Soul Calibur
I have not played GBF yet but the game seems to be of my liking, and Im on the fence with SFV
Yeah it's manageable. I personally wouldn't do it because I like spending time in Vegas too much to want to be committed to the convention center for that long, but it's certainly not unusual. Worst case, you can always sign up and then no show - it's only $10 a game, so it's not like you'd be out much.
Siliconera story is out trying to bring attention to this. Yay I helped a dev I respect get some positive attention!

Thanks, i play grapplers mostly. But I've gone zoner and puppet style dudes before. I'm runnin frieza in dbfz at the moment.
Neat. I miss the early days of dbfz of dunking folks with 16. Fond grappler memories there . I mained the shit outta Bane in injustice so I ha e a weak spot for grapplers.
Was a 16 main myself, but he got nerfed a bit too hard. But for me, dbs Broly is even funner with similar combo structure.
I started with kanji in p4a and potemkin, can't wait for guilty gear so i can remain him.

The potential to get stupid damage outta her combos and meter and extend force is huge so there is a health drain that's about 50 percent I'd you waited out the entire clock. But you take less damage on a ton of shit and can screw up there movement.

Take less damage from arcana moves especially big ones
Only arcana that extend force canceling is unsafe and punishable
Can nullify status ailments
Can inflict mobility penalties on opponents
Ridiculous hitstun projectile with slight homing that allows full screen conversions
Has a charged move that gains an element and each has a different effect
Can turn into paracelsia who has a full moveset thats busted good but if the crystal you are In when she is out is hit it ends. Basically an od combo ender and allows for wild extensions that shouldn't be possible due to her crazy homing dash speed being instant and her range.

I was so disappointed in the Infinity Stones in MvCI. The Arcana system can offer so much more than the 6 extra tools.
Yup. Every arcana gives you several passives, normals several specials, a super , I guess you call it an ultra, a unique x factor ability called extend force .
Plus since player health is determined by 3 factors arcana can not only be balanced with how they multiply your own health but in how they negate multipliers in other arcanas.
Your health is universally the same so
27200hp + your arcana modifier- your opponents arcana debuff modifier value = base health.
But wait there's more! Like damage scaling in a combo healthbars scale In damage taken after so much percent is lost and thus factor is called GUTS. To balance certain characters everyone has a different guts factor!
Someone may took full damage till they only have 30 percent t health before guts kicks in and others may have guts kick in at 80 percent health.
So base health+ player guts+ your arcana modifier- your opponents health debuff .modifier equals health!
That means arcana are balancing against other arcana giving potentially healthy characters a ton of health and guts is balancing characters who have high arcana versatility from becoming too busted and overly healthy as well. Twofold checks and balances too keep the arcana and top base characters from running wild. Its ana amazing system that took a lot of effort to balance out. Theres even an arcana that does things based on guts too.
I love this game. You choose a high guts character and also choose an arcana with high health boosts I can counter pick with an arcana that has high debuffs to negate your extra health. Lotta folks find full glass cannon pairings to their liking so I could just ignore all buffs to myself and ignore trying to counter your health buff and fish for an arcana that lends me busted tech for my particular character [scharlachrot with vines].
I wish for a new vs fighter to utilize this system to it's fullest someday. I think it only works 1v1 in this setup though. An entire team using the guts and health stuff might get messy.

Pretty funny, although I feel the way to play vs complete randoms is to just play super safe, as they don't have the patience to not do unsafe stuff. You're still going to beat them out with better combos overall.
And honestly basically every match online starts with you figuring out how derp-ey the other player is.
So is no one picking up Under Night? Bummer that there's no OT. Wonder if the Switch version will go up at midnight.
I am, looking forward to see what Akatsuki and Enkidu got in store for CLR.
I briefly touched upon the topic at one point but, in relation to KOFXV, it's a nightmare to even think about who will be cut moving from XIV to XV. While we can't really comment on anything XV related, considering we didn't see anything yet, roster in question can be discussed.
I doubt we'll see 50 characters at launch, like XIV but then we have to take into accounts the team that are 100% coming back.

- Fatal Fury team
- Hero Team

So, I have that back button peripheral for the DS4. tbh, it feels really weird having that space taken up there on the back. I tried using it for SFV and put the v-skill there.
It didn't really help and my muscle memory was used to doing it the normal way pushing 2 buttons. I took it off after a couple days. I might revisit it in a couple months or try a non fighting game with it. I don't really play shooters, which everybody says it helps the most.

Yeah, it's not really made for fighting games. The back button attachment is great for shooters or other action games, but for fighting games I switch to my Hori Fighting Commander. Feels much better.
I'd love to, but Germany is pretty much dead considering fighting games. If it's not Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat or Tekken... good luck finding an opponent.
Tried some resin casting lately. First attempt at a balltop with azure mica and magenta ink in epoxy looks decent. Not perfect but Its my first try. I'd like to see if I can top coat a button without affecting it causing it to stick. If so...maybe make a set of balltop and buttons with matching dust cover rings on the stick?

I hope they'll make some surprising reshuffle in the teams. That was always my favourite part in the pre-release of the old titles, especially during the NESTS saga. The teams always had little stories on why they ended up that way, or why their usual team mate isn't joining this year.
Go nuts. Team Kyo/Iori/K'. Have Juhn lead the Korea team. Make Maxima team up with Ralf and Clark. Break the Orochis in Team Shermie/Leona/Vice, or Yashiro/Goenitz/Gaidel. Have Kula and Elizabeth join Mai in the Women Team.
A lot of characters will be missing anyway with the limited roster, so they can at least have fun with it instead of having "KOF97 but with 3 new teams relevant to the current storyline".
