Update with recent hard fights:
Transcendent Omega Weapon:
I curbstomped this with the godly wind team in 29.15:
Aerith (LM1+LM2): R2 Hastega, R4 Curada, DMT (USB2)
Bartz (LM2+LMR): R4 SSS, R5 Life Siphon, Wind DMG+ RM (USB2/AASB), double wind boost
Cloud (En-Wind LMR+W-Wind LMR): R5 Raging Quadstrike, R5 Life Siphon, Truthseeker (Glint+/USB1/AASB), double wind boost
Zack (LM1+LM2): R4 Flash Disaster, R5 Life Siphon, Acestriker (CSB/BSSB), double wind boost
Elarra (LM1+LM2): R4 Enfeebling Jitterbug, R3 Crushing Tango, MM (USB1)
Magicites: Syldra (Empower Wind x2), Typhon (Empower Wind x2), Phoenix (Blade/Spell Ward), Lakshmi (HP Boon/MND Boon), Madeen (HP Boon/Fast Cast)
HP accessories on everyone.
Nothing special here. Had to look up the script to see what moves were coming in Phase 1 since I lost characters a few times (didn't realise Terra Break came so early), but basic plan was build gauge in Phase 1 then blitz. I dropped chain around the 15 second mark and with max imperil and Cloud/Bartz at full power, Omega Weapon got 0 turns in P2 (skipped Transcendent Curaga), 2 turns in P3, 1 turn in P4, and 1 turn in P5. Cloud just brutalized him. Every Cloud turn was 70,000+x8. I could have dropped AOSB at the end, but nah - Raging Quad was enough. Bartz helped a bit, but this was all CLoud.
I stole Transcendent Meltdown (and used it in P5 after his Transcendent Aura) and Transcendent Ultima just to be sure, but it was unnecessary.
D350 Dreams Masked Man:
Ugly, ugly, ugly fight. Mastered in 43.XX, but it was an absolute slog at the end.
Elarra (LM1+LM2): R2 Hastega, R4 Curada, MM (USB1/BSSB)
Freya: R3 Multibreak, R4 Enfeebling Jitterbug, Gathering Storm (USB2/BSSB)
Marcus (LM1+LM2): R4 Dash&Slash, R1 Mug Bloodlust, Thief DMG+ RM (USB1), double fire boost
Zidane (LM2+LMR2): R5 Storm Assault, R2 Steal Power, Scholar's Boon (USB2/AOSB), double wind boost
Quina (Lm1+LM2): R4 Entrust, R5 Wrath, DMT (Proshellga Unique)
RW: Wall
Magicites: Syldra (Empower Wind x2), Hecantoncheir (HP Boon/Dampen Lightning), Phoenix (Blade/Spell Ward), Lakshmi (HP Boon/MND Boon), Madeen (HP Boon/Fast Cast)
Wind resist on Slots3-5, fire resist on slots1-2
Okay, so right off the bat, I now realised I had the wrong equips on Marcus. I initially ran him with Fire Assault, hence the fire+ equips, but then changed it to D&S because I found the damage was terrible. But clearly I forgot to change his equips. His damage was still terrible, and even with double wind boost, was still likely to be terrible, but it definitely would have helped.
Otherwise, the plan was simple: Debuff and grind him down, like did against Ugallu. Use Quina to entrust to Elarra to keep everyone alive/speed up the party. I learned my lesson with the previous two in trying to speedblitz them down, so I didn't bother with that this time.
The problem, though, is that even though I had better burst damage here than in XIII, I didn't have the DPS longevity of a Raines BSSB. On a number of runs, including my winning run, I ran out of hones on R5 Storm Assault with maybe 15% HP left, and had to rely on entrusts to spam USB2 and other poverty junk to win.
I think I went too defensively here. Unlike in the IX Torment, Marcus wasn't really pulling his weight here and I don't think his Mug Bloodlust contributed much. Should have run a better DPS like Vivi USB1 or Kuja BSSB1. I guess I wanted to put my Zidane with his new AOSB to work (gee, what would I want his AASB over his AOSB, RNGesus? Thanks! >:( ), but it was lacklustre. Probably should have used it to skip P4, but if I got hit by his Mug, it wasn't doing even close to cap damage.
I tried with full realm team with EIko BSSB as healer. Was going fine until Phase 4 Dream Ow slapped me for 20,000 damage. I think I might have not overwritten a buff in time, but Christ. I had at least 4 other debuff layers and it didn't mean a damn thing. I brought in Elarra with USB1/BSSB to deal with that and Sap (could have brought Selphie w/ USB1, but decided Elarra would help speed things up).
As it is, I had to spam Elarra BSSB in P5 to keep people alive long enough to win, throwing everything I had left (Zidane spamming USB2, Freyh had to resort to using her goddamn BSSB and its CMD1, and summoning Syldra again when I got the chance). I got to around 85% in 30 seconds, and it took about 13 seconds to remove the last 15%.
Not a fun fight, though I definitely made it harder on myself. Dream Ow! is bullshit regardless, though.
Devastation Nemesis 2:
Solo clear to call it a day. REally not in the mood to be playing this for hours right now.
Faris (LM1+LMR2): R5 Storm Assault, R3 Full Break, MM (CSB/SSB), double wind boost
Ignis (LM2+LMR): R4 Entrust, R5 Wrath, Ace Striker (BSSB)
Cloud (En-Wind LMR+W-Wind LMR): R5 Raging Quadstrike, R5 Life Siphon, Truthseeker (Glint+/USB1/AASB/AOSB), double wind boost
Elarra (LM1+LM2): R3 Warrior's Hymn, R3 Crushing Tango, DMT (USB1)
Aerith (LM1+LM2): R2 Hastega, R3 Dispel, GAthering Storm (USB2)
RW: CLoud USB1
Hp accessories on everyone.
Used a similar setup as KNightLord on Gamefaqs but I was using Cloud in place of Bartz. Wasn't too bad, but was a bit more of a slog at the end than I anticipated though. I messed up my Cloud USB1 refresh at the beginning of Phase 2 and probably had Aerith on standby to get Hastega back up a little long, and lost some time. Didn't stack imperils fast enough so it took a while for Cloud's damage to ramp up. Also dropped his AOSB way too early, Nemesis had about 25% HP left, after which AASB ran out, and no long after En-Wind ran out with no way to refresh, so the last HP was a slog of spammed Cloud USB1s to finish off. Was never in any danger thanks to OP healer duo of Aerith and Elarra.
Glad that's over with. Aside from the ticket dungeons which I'll finish off later, I'm officially done with fest.
D.ODin and new D??? Torment attempts will wait until after Full Open/Double Greens finish.
