Whatever about hit reaction I would strongly suggest not taking away much from the combat in these streams. If the health bar bleeds slowly that just sounds like bad usage of ATB (not exploiting weaknesses, building up ATB and stagger fast and dumping ATB attacks to generate stagger/hit huge HP chunks off during stagger/building up limit breaks)
Even in the demo this was the different between a 4 minute fight against scorpion and a borderline 15 minute one with tons of ATB wasted on healing

It's the the first time it's been mentioned in game, but she was always named.
I'm legit not even taking a lot of the feedback here seriously. People were shitting on the demo left and right yet I thought it was incredible. Only feedback I'm looking for now is how long the game is and if there any glaring design or technical issues that haven't been brought up. All of the negative feedback I'm seeing so far is just from people pissed this isn't a 1:1 remake or feel the game shouldn't even exist.
It's one of those things where it's hard to defend and explain how it succeeds. That game's writing was aggressively bad, with quite literally every character being introduced to us at their worst and an expectation that the audience would be inherently invested in this incredibly convoluted lore system that they came up with. Relying on flashbacks to get us invested. With very little time for respite to get us connected. A shame because that game has really distinct character designs, especially Fang and Lightning.

So this was a big bruh moment.
The expanded Midgar portion seems really well done but good lord the sexual tension.
Member of the main character's harem jumping all over him while he shrugs it off.
Not gonna spoil what happens next. It's not as straight forward a harem tropes.

Unless something changed in the final release, that was the idea, yeah. You have to unlock it by beating the game.
I don't personally mind it too much, but I know a lot of people hate this.
I wonder if Square feels like it'd be worth it to invest in the sort of convo system you see in western RPGs like Witcher, AC, and Horizon. Feel like if done well that would provide better results than what they usually do outside of key scenes.
I keep hoping FFXVI does something like that, or at least channels FFXIV's options where you can at least direct a convo a bit more. IT makes sense for this version of a classic game to be mostly "at" you instead of "with you" in terms of gameplay at least though.
I've given this some thought before as well and I think it would be grand. Would certainly help matters.

You remember that one Era member who had a twitter account that was a parody of fanboys that uploaded a fake video of them reacting to the news that Horizon Zero Dawn was going to PC. It's that level of irrational dedication to a company, but unironically.
Emotional investment to the point of frenzy.
I mean, I personally think prematurely looking at streams to form an opinion without actively experiencing said story is how you get things backwards.
But, snitching like that just seems stupid. But it is what it is.
So here's my issue with these companies going full lockdown on streams. I understand and respect the desire to make sure that nobody is spoiled when it comes to the surprises and fun moments within your upcoming game. The issue I have is that the people (like me) that would go to watch these streams clearly do NOT give a damn about being spoiled. We are actively seeking out the spoilers. No single person on this planet who is avoiding spoilers would ever visit a FF7R stream to check it out. Dang, just let those of us who are interested in the product that you've released to the wild consume a stream for it if we want to do so.

Exactly like i'm buying this game anyway. I'm down to watch the first couple chapters before signing off and waiting til release.
Nothing concrete but the game's clearly at least 25 hours, easily. Probably around 30 or so. It's not something you breeze. No one's beaten it yet and we're on 3rd day of unofficial release.
Yeah that's all I'm trying to see. I just want an hour count. I want to avoid everything else.
And there were dozens of posts asking about what's new about Persona 5 Royal in the P5R thread despite the fact that the game's been out for quite some time in Japan AND people were answering the questions every few posts. I read through the current page and didn't see anyone talking about length.
