Holy cow those re-arrangements of the classic soundtrack sure sound fine... Hopefully the chatter during combat ("not bad", "burn" and the like) can be disabled.

(And hopefully there'll be a Switch version down the line!)

Another Demo video if you want to check it out! Said it before, but I really like how the combat looks and I hope it holds up throughout the rest of the game. (And I hope it gets tough)

To everyone feeling let down by this remake, please lend me some of your time to read my request.
"FF7 is overrated: a Video Essay" by Reggy2278 on YouTube got taken down many years ago. Would anybody know where to source this video or have a copy of it? This to myself and my friends was the funniest ffvii critique of all time. It included references to fans eating ffvii content as if it were McDonald's, etc.

Have there been any examples of JRPGs which have allowed for banter of this variety to be disabled? I'd love it if that were an option as well; I'm just not sure if there's any precedent for it.

I wouldn't know, sorry! - I hardly play any JRPGs nowadays. FF7 has me interested because of the original's pedigree and the (seemingly) more fluid combat compared to traditional turn-based RPGs. The in-combat chatter is hamming it up a bit too much though xD .

Go play one of the Xenoblade Chronicles games for a few hours. After that, the banter in this game will seem like nothing!

I actually really like the dialogue and banter in this so far though. You can really see Cloud and Barret's relationship start to develop throughout the bombing run.

I tried to avoid most of the spoilers, but now I'm just too curious about the music. I listened to the 19 (?) leaked tracks from the game and just now I read something about a jukebox? Can anyone give me a link to those songs?

edit: Just saw the staff post... nevermind then. :(

Welp, I just want to know how long this game actually is and where it ends. I'm not expecting anything grand but if I can know now, I'll be a much happier camper waiting for my copy to arrive on release day.

Can't say how long it is, but if I remember from the data mine, it confirms the game ends after the highway escape.

I am one of the few people who has not played FF7 from start to finish before.

I HAVE A QUESTION (Can anybody tell me how long this part 1 is?, I heard some leaks came out).

At this point I only want 2 things.

Know if there is some unlockable stuff like Tifa's classic outfit since apparently they don't want easy money and have it as dlc so hopefully its in the game that way

And raw gameplay footage of someone not progressing the story and doing some exploring/sidequests really wanna see how the game will exactly handle that and how areas look overall in terms of if they are very corridor esque etc.

I think the sidequests will end up being just like they were in Lightning Returns, don't expect the second coming of great jrpg sidequests basically.

As long as they learned their lesson from XV it should be fine... "I need some frogz lol"

Well yeah I am not expecting some interesting or well written side quests. Just wanna see the minute to minute gameplay of what you can do when not strictly progressing the story

I just don't understand, the controllers for these consoles literally have a button dedicated to taking pictures, WHY ARE THEY TAKING PHOTOS OF THEIR TV SCREEN?!
