I hope the Jeno-Seph is the only version we'll see smiling so much,
I never felt that evil-grin vibe from Sephiroth in the original game.

Ramuh disapproves of your tomfoolery.
Jessie's English voice is too good. I love her so much. More every time they show more of her.
They know exactly what they're doing by making Jessie and Aerith extra sweetI really like Aeris VA too. The way she says 'is gonna be fiiiinee' is perfect.

Hand-to-Hand fighters is one of my fetishes when it comes to fighting styles in video games. I don't think I'm going to be playing as anyone else once Tifa joins my party.those Tifa pull ups made me go back to the E3 trailer and the combat animations are so incredibly bad ass (sorry about the huge gif)
Erica Lindbeck is a great voice actor so it's been nice seeing her pop up in more stuff over the last couple of years.Jessie's English voice is too good. I love her so much. More every time they show more of her.

Really? I swear that's a grin he has when he looks at Cloud after killing AerisI hope the Jeno-Seph is the only version we'll see smiling so much,

I wish she would've gotten a bigger role. She is so good! Loved her as Futaba in P5.Erica Lindbeck is a great voice actor so it's been nice seeing her pop up in more stuff over the last couple of years.

That's the thing though. Sephiroth didn't kill Aerith; Jenova in the form of Sephiroth did.Really? I swear that's a grin he has when he looks at Cloud after killing Aeris
Well it's the same thingThat's the thing though. Sephiroth didn't kill Aerith; Jenova in the form of Sephiroth did.
How so? Jenova and Sephiroth are two different people.
I honestly wish she was playing Aerith.I wish she would've gotten a bigger role. She is so good! Loved her as Futaba in P5.
Sephiroth is controlling Jenova. So both he and Jenova kill Aerith.
i think barret's VA said they recorded lines for the trailer specifically so hopefully, they'll be rewritten and redubbed with better direction. probably not though! It's gotta be the mixing/overlapping in the trailer. Without the flow of delivery it sounds far worse than it should. It's much better in the gameplay demos
But they aren't independent agents, Jenova is Sephiroth's way of manifesting his hive mind of "clones".
There's gonna be a presentation on Playstation's live stage in about 8 hours.
It's one of the reasons I'm not against expanding the Midgar section to its own game. There is a lot of story and emotion that can be pulled from that arc which was only hinted at and rushed through in the original.

mfw i finally get summoned to fight for legendary heroes and they turn out to be angsty teenagers with stupid hair
I hope neither. Go back to old school and make it Arthur! King Arthur and the Knights of the Round... Island!
Same. It does admittedly seem like she'll still factor pretty heavily into this game though, which is good.I wish she would've gotten a bigger role. She is so good! Loved her as Futaba in P5.
The Wutai stuff is harmless tho. As in, for now, it's just a nod to a previous in-universe event and nothing implies AVALANCHE being backed by them if Barret's reaction is to be believed. Just the fact that there was a war (and that there might be insurgents still).I don't like president shinra being an hologram. Neither this wutai bull.

Agreed on both points, especially the Shinra hologram one. Though, that was kind of a boss move to show up in front of them in the original. It's like the OG president didn't even view them as a real threat, while the remake president is more focused on playing the puppeteer.Nah those are both good changes. The president showing up himself to confront terrorists was always dumb. Wutai is probably the only place in the planet to pose a threat to Shinra and it's good that it's getting proper play here. Both for future Yuffie and the story.

In the original scene why didn't Barret just shoot him? You know, since he has a gun arm that can shoot bullets at a distance? President Shinra being a hologram in that scene fixes a major plothole.
Those are two separate things. The president being a hologram looks kinda silly, but I think it's a wash whether it's better he shows up or not. And honestly, it'd be really cool if the only time we see him in the flesh is him dead.I don't like president shinra being an hologram. Neither this wutai bull.
Definitely Big Brother vibes, but it's so obvious that I rolled my eyes at it. It looks kinda silly.Anybody getting 1984 Orwellian vibes from President Shinra? He even looked a bit like Andrew Ryan from Bioshock.
Makes more sense than for the president to be helicoptered to an about to explode reactor and a terrorist with a gunarm.I don't like president shinra being an hologram. Neither this wutai bull.
Honestly, I doubt he'd think that far ahead. A big part of Barret's arc is him realizing that his propensity toward violence, even when justified, has consequences that he doesn't even consider.Yeah, Barret would mow down that motherfucker no doubt.
The only thing that would make him think twice about it is if his successor is worse than him or if killing him would make things worse for his cause.
