Not to be that dude but what happened to the English dub?! The line direction is Advent Children level or below and so is the delivery at times. I've never had a problem with Square's voice acting until now, but I might have to go subs unless something drastic changes.

Everything else was amazing. The Japanese version of the trailer had me in tears.

Also, what was the thing Aerith was fighting that was in a chariot? New lightning Summon?

So, the bosses we've seen so far are: Guard Scorpion, Air Buster, Aps and now both the Heli Gunner and Hundred Gunner. I think the only one missing Midgard boss is the Motor Ball.

Thank fuck they didn't scale the human boss battles to like 130% size. I understand it's done for readability, but it typically really annoys me.

Also, I'm just going to assume Akiyama is on the cutscenes since they seem to be good.

Looks pretty good, glad we got to finally see some spells and Summons. With that last open world scene my question still remains where exactly does this game stop in the FFVII story..?...maybe it goes a little further than initially thought? Still probably a 3 chapter structure though.

My hype is still on the low side because the game was chopped into parts and it will be years (if ever) for the complete story to be told.

And I loved the original. If this was the full game being released, my hype level would be through the roof.

I think the voice acting is fine, it just always sounds weird when it's all spliced up like this.

Anyway a few things I noticed:

  • I'm pretty sure President Shinra didn't try to suggest Avalanche was working with Wutai, so that suggests the Wutai war is still on-going or perhaps tensions are flared?
  • Tifa being in the gym and assuring Cloud with Aerith suggests you'll free her before Don Corneo, which is a bit odd
  • Maybe we'll play as Aerith as she escorts Marlene to her mother's house, and then Tseng shows up? Would be awesome if she got a solo boss fight.
  • Actual SOLDIER members showing up is great, though it'll be curious how they explain Cloud not being the big shot he says he is.
  • No Quinton Flynn for Reno is a bit sad

If FFXV is anything to go by, we'll get JP dubs on the international release. If KH3 is anything to go by we won't.

I'm leaning to the former tbh.

To be fair, I was saying you wouldn't get any of the good summons like Alexander or Bahamut. :P

You almost always get Ifrit and Shiva early in pretty much any game where summons exist.

Looks good but it's going to be incredibly sexually frustrating that it's not the complete story and having to wait twenty years before we finally get the whole thing.

Im kind of starting to realize why they split the game into parts. Everything is so much more polished and grandiose then I was expecting. So excited for this.
