sooner then expected tbh
That's a pretty aggressive release window. Don't see how that's feasible.
So the day before the anniversary
Please be excited
I wish I remembered where I originally read this interview but the men in question were referencing the 35th anniversary as a joke.
5 years from now FF7 will not be 35. It will be 26.
less development time than FF Versus XIII, then?
Are they sure they'll be able to make it in time? Seems like a pretty tight schedule to be honest, they should've been more conservative.
Goodbye PS4 version, get hyped for the PS5.
that would be only max 8 years after announcement. That's a faster turnover than their previous projects. Clearly things are improving.
I think 2020 or 2021 would make more sense.
OP your title had me thinking Final Fantasy VII came out 30 years ago
"translations of a recording of Square’s Kitase, Hamaguchi, and Nomura having a behind-closed-doors conversation about Final Fantasy VII Remake"
SURE this sounds totaly legit, why is gaming sites posting shit "rumours " made to troll ff fans?
I don't believe it.
I'm not surprised, i wasn't expecting it before 2020.
It was a joke by Kitase that the site in the OP reported as serious info.
That's midway into the next console generation's lifespan lol. Hope they're joking around.
All the games within 5 years?
This thread will be fun when in 5 years it’s still not released
Phew, super relaxed now.
Crazy, me and Final Fantasy VII are the same age but I distinctly remember it not existing until many years after I was born
Nvm, they meant the Final Fantasy series anniversary. The title threw me off
We’re getting it before 2023.*
* unless there is a delay
PS5 feels more than likely now
How is this company still in business lol
Makes sense to me. Part 1 8 years from initial announcement, Part 2 for the 40th anniversary.
Never change Square.
That's some real quality journalism. They were joking but of course people will run with this.
now, is that just for the first installment, or for all the parts? Last we heard this was going to be released in parts.
EDIT: OMG people, it was clearly a joke from that interview! Do people do research on these things before reposting them without context? *sigh*
While I do enjoy laughing at Square, the original source makes it seem like a joke.
I wonder if Final Fantasy 16 will release first?
l m a o
Episode 1 only right?
Seems reasonable if so.
Just part 1. Yay!
Yea I was gonna wait till all the parts of it was released before I play it. I'm 33 I'll be dead by then.
Gotta try to continue pretending this game does not exist.
Well, that's definitely a loophole on release date reveals.
Ladies and gentlemen...
