but it seems like that's the title that comes up in the beginning and not the "The Irishman"
lol ok thats a good pointWell, just theorizing, but maybe it's because if you saw a Netflix tile that said "I Heard You Paint Houses," most people would think it was a Sandra Bullock romcom from the early '00s. So you give it a snappy title like "The Irishman" for show and give it the romcom title in the actual movie. Bam.
"Era said", despite the vast majority who commented but did not say that at all and at least partially agreed.
MCU fans are not the entire Era.
I hear its more epic in scope than Goodfellas and Casino... but its also more reflectiveSaw it Sunday! The film is so good, one of Scorsese's best for sure
the only legitimate bad movie he has ever made is gangs
Too much GoNY slander in here. I think it's an entertaining romp and a good attempt at a Great American Epic narrative work. I'd put Shutter Island and Cape Fear beneath it. Haven't seen Bringing out the Dead.
I'm with you. Plus, DDL overacting every moment is dynamite.Too much GoNY slander in here. I think it's an entertaining romp and a good attempt at a Great American Epic narrative work. I'd put Shutter Island and Cape Fear beneath it. Haven't seen Bringing out the Dead.
There is no way someone actually said that lol
I liked it!
Wolf of Wall Street, Gone Girl, and The Social Network will most definitely be the films remembered by this generation into the future. Wolf did great business and young people fucking loved it (despite its critic score).is Wolf of Wall Street really seen as an acclaimed Scorsese flick?
i thought it was a little to excessive
The Irishman seems to be the opposite, don't know if alot of young people will watch itWolf of Wall Street, Gone Girl, and The Social Network will most definitely be the films remembered by this generation into the future. Definitely. Mafia movies aren't exactly in style anymore. But I, a young, will definitely be watchingThe Irishman seems to be the opposite, don't know if alot of young people will watch it
it's defintelly an old man's movie
This is a serious claim, because Silence (his last) was one of the best films I've ever seen. To say I'm excited would be putting it mildly.
Joker has no chance outside of Phoenix for acting.Considering how much this thread is alive, the most hype Netflix film ever. I think that this film and the Joker have the potential to win big at the Oscars.
I would be fine with either, both would be groundbreaking.
