so looking at the wikipedia i noticed something
The Irishman (titled onscreen as I Heard You Paint Houses) is a 2019 American epic crime film produced and directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Steven Zaillian,
what does it mean by "titled onscreen" why would Scorsese have a different title in the credits from the actual title of the movie?

but it seems like that's the title that comes up in the beginning and not the "The Irishman"
Well, just theorizing, but maybe it's because if you saw a Netflix tile that said "I Heard You Paint Houses," most people would think it was a Sandra Bullock romcom from the early '00s. So you give it a snappy title like "The Irishman" for show and give it the romcom title in the actual movie. Bam.

Ignoring the fact that he could be out of touch (he's not - that's not what this is) and still direct another masterpiece.

I hear its more epic in scope than Goodfellas and Casino... but its also more reflective
if this one lands, wall street --> silence --> irishman is looking to be his greatest three-film run and possibly one of the greatest three-film runs of any director. whew
of New York? I personally rank The Departed lower, but they're both still entertaining.
I have a really soft spot for GoNY, had been defending it for ages, but eventually gave up trying to fight back. XD
I feel like everyone ignores Hugo when looking for weak entries in his filmography, though, why is that?

We talking about one of the most accomplished directors ever, that gave cinema some of the best movies ever.
If anyone actually said he is out of touch, there is no way I would take that person opnion seriously for any subject.

Wolf of Wall Street, Gone Girl, and The Social Network will most definitely be the films remembered by this generation into the future. Wolf did great business and young people fucking loved it (despite its critic score).
The Irishman seems to be the opposite, don't know if alot of young people will watch it

Definitely. Mafia movies aren't exactly in style anymore. But I, a young, will definitely be watching
This is a serious claim, because Silence (his last) was one of the best films I've ever seen. To say I'm excited would be putting it mildly.
