I'll reserve my judgement until this starts streaming. For now, I'm cautiously optimistic.

The Great Dark Beyond
I know nothing about the Witcher aside from watching someone play a little bit of it but this doesn't look HORRIBLE as far as costuming and stuff, I suppose.

But since I'm not a fan I'm not sure if that's accurate, lol

The costumes look really good, but I have such a hard time with Geralt because when i look at his face all I see is Henry Cavil which makes me think of Superman. I can't see him as Geralt still, maybe that will change when we see him in action though.

Looks like Geralt, Yennifer, and Ciri.

So how's the budget for this? I have a feeling this will be a poor man's Game of Thrones.

I don't think any of them look bad, just like Crystal Dynamics Avengers, we're used to seeing some of them look a certain way and it feels like stunt doubles.

It's funny when professional actors and companies create what amounts to cosplay.

Looks good to me, reminds me of the first game's visuals. Never read the books so I'm not one to judge its authenticity.

Henry Cavill is so miscasted... like, the costumes are great and all but all I can see is Superman

His face is just too perfect and beautiful

Edit: well the pic above sealed it. Looks like a supermodel cosplaying as Geralt

Honestly?

Looks better than I expected. I remain hopeful. God I love this book/game saga so much. Netflix please don't fuck it up.

The single sword thing bothers me a bit more than it should, but maybe getting that second sword is an early plot point? Also I feel Yennifer was miscast. Still, I'm overall excited to see how this plays out.

The characters look fine, but what's up with only one sword?

Geralt in books generally did not carry both swords; silver one was on his horse, used for special occasions.
Of course in games where density of monster combat is much higher, it would have been annoying to have to take it from the horse all the time.
