The officer literally told him it would get him killed.

Also, most people aren't going to end up in a confrontation with the cops wherein the cops are there because they suspect you're a potential mass shooter, waving a gun around in front of a hotel window.

Both of them told the officers they weren't drunk though.
This is a disgusting reply. Officer raised the stakes of that interaction for no reason other than giving himself a reason to shoot.

The location bit sounds like the same stuff people say about being born in the wrong country or only bad people have interactions like this with the police.

Someone didn't want to get in trouble with the police about being drunk so he deserved to die. That's the "there was weed in his system so he was no angel" response.

I'm just wondering if people realize the cop barking the orders wasn't the one who fired the shots.
I didn’t realize this at first. It’s a pretty easy mistake to make, the vid makes it sound like the person talking and the person firing the shots are one in the same. I hope both of these fuckers rot for eternity for what they did to this poor kid.

It makes me wonder how amped up the sergeant made the shooter. Why wasn’t he also charged?

The guy clearly misunderstood the cop’s instruction when they asked him the crawl towards them.

If you watch when the girl is asked to crawl towards the police, she keeps her hands in the air and it crawling towards the cops upright on her knees. The guy is clearly confused and falls to this hands and crawls on all fours— despite the officers instructing him that if he looses his balance, he should fall face down with his hand spread out in front of him. That was the critical mistake. It’s also what caused his pants the pull down and sag and then he went to pull them up. You can see the police clearly tense up with fear when he did that because he didn’t follow the command they wanted, despite the fact the guy thought he was following their commands property.

I completely understand why he did that though— he was terrified and unable to process everything properly. Granted, the police asked him if he was able to understand the instructions given to him and he answered “yes.” I honestly would have crawled on all fours too, had I been in that situation, but I probably would have told the officers I couldn’t understand their instructions do to paralyzing fear.

It reminds me of a time when the police pulled me over. When I pulled over, I was on a highway over pass bridge, and they asked me to “drive to the other side of the bridge.” I interpreted that as stay on the shoulder and drive forward to the other side of the bridge. THEY wanted to me get back on the highway and drive to the OTHER SIDE of the bridge (from left side to right side of highway). They were not very friendly afterwards because they felt I wasn’t obeying their commands.

All cops are bad. All cops are complicit in racism and murder of innocents. The system is broken. Burn it down.
Stop calling them. Get closer to your community, protect your own.
I'm with ya. I've never had a good experience with the cops. Even when I needed them I had to do the detective's job for him.

Story: House got robbed, jotted down a list of all the things missing, who I suspect, made a police report and they said they'd look into it. Didn't hear from them for over a week. So I took matters into my own hands and checked on craigslist for some of the things that were taken because I was out of ideas. Luckily I found the camera that was taken but to make sure, I asked the seller to take a close up of the lens so I can "see the specs" (was actually looking for a dent and a slight crack so I could ascertain it was mine) Dude sends the pic to my email and his email is *[email protected]* I was laughing. I know this fuck, went to gradeschool with him but we hadn't talked in over 20 years, lives a few blocks down from me.

So I go back to the precinct/detective bureau and let them know I found the guy. Detective and his officer's go, "You wut m8?" I says, I found my camera on craigslist *hands him photo and correspondence emails* He goes, "wait wait wait, who's Craig? Why does he have a list?" I go, "Dude you're a detective, how have you never used craigslist - the backstreet trading system of the world for legal and illegal things?" He just shrugs and says he's never heard of it.

Anyway, they look at his email address and go, "Oh we know him and his family, always getting into trouble with the law." They go to his house and search his closet, all my shit was there. I got nearly everything back thanks to my diligence and almost none on their part. I was going to just go to his house myself with some friends and get the stuff back personally but my mother and my girl at the time talked me out of it.

Incompetent, untrained, and fucking clueless, the lot of 'em I swear. I should be a fucking detective, how 'bout dem apples?

- RIP to this gentleman and may the coppers rust in pieces. -

The basic procedure is to keep aiming at suspect while ordering him to lay flat face down and with hands behind head while other officer goes to handcuff him.

What the actual fuck was this Twister "now cross your legs, hands straight and crawl"?
Why the fuck would you make shit up on the spot?

He gets off on the power he holds over him in that situation, you can hear it in his voice how much pleasure he's taking in making him crawl. Wouldn't be surprised if he wanted him lick his boots.

This isn’t what was on trial considering the sergeant talking wasn’t the shooter. The person who actually fired the shots was on trial.

He asked the guy the follow commands,Daniel didn't understand them and the other officer over reacted and shot him. One cop should be charged and he "was".
I don’t think he overreacted. I think the situation was mishandled for sure, but the guy clearly reached back after being instructed multiple times not to do so. He should have been asked to lay prone and then cuffed, not given an impossible set of tasks when having a .29 BAC. I think the sergeant is more to blame for escalating this than the shooter.

CRAWL
verb.
(of a person) move forward on the hands and knees or by dragging the body close to the ground

This mother fucking murderer doesn't even know what crawl means, yet he's executing people who are terrified for their life for not doing it to his liking. Being terrified for one's life is exactly the excuse they use to commit murder, but it's evidently no excuse for a completely innocent citizen.

Sure i can agree that the sergeant should of given better commands but only one person shot.

If you hate cops so much please remember that when you are getting assaulted or robbed at gunpoint, there would be absolutely no reason to call one on your end since they are all racist and murderers themselves.
As someone who's been assaulted and didn't call the police afterwards....that's a thing that happens. People like me are afraid to call them for anything, for good reason.

While there are many many bad cops, including this disgusting murderer who should absolutely be in jail, not all of them are bad. While I’ve seen many horrible cops, I’ve seen many kind ones too.
Agreed. This is basic common sense, shame some people don't get it. That's like saying a whole race is completely bad, it's like seriously? Just because there are some bad apples it doesn't make every single one of them bad and corrupt.
I'll say it again.

FUCK THE POLICE. THEY ARE ALL GARBAGE.

YES. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
And here we go. This mentality is just mind-boggling to me.

I see where you are coming from. The shooter could have used his own judgement but it seems he was in tune with his sergeant. It sucks. I wish it didn’t happen, but I can also see why a jury would acquit given the circumstances. The issue is with the training and leeway the police are given in these situations.

You know nothing about me or what I used to be involved in when I was younger so the fact that I was not shot and treated with respect Time After Time despite not necessarily deserving it speaks volumes. The vast majority of Americans both black and white get pulled over by the cops and continue to go about their day without being murdered and this is a fact.

If you hate cops so much please remember that when you are getting assaulted or robbed at gunpoint, there would be absolutely no reason to call one on your end since they are all racist and murderers themselves.
Sounds like what mobsters that make people pay for protection would say. Fitting.

When Islamic terrorists kill people, we see scores of Muslims coming out, going on TV, saying they're not all like that. That the person that committed the crime must face justice.

When cop terrorists kill people, the 'good' cops stay silent. We don't see them publicly speaking about the travesty of this 'judgement'. We see instead complicit silence.

Cops choose to be cops. Races don't' choose what race they are.

There aren't any cops calling out bad cops. If they were, they stop being cops. So, there are no good cops. Understand?

Would someone PLEASE change the OP so people know the cop yelling commands isn't the cop who fired the shots? It almost changes the scenario completely. The dumbass cop shouting the commands created the crisis and put everyone in an impossible situation. The cop who fired the shots actually did exactly what he was ordered to do.

What I said was the the 100% truth. If I hate somebody and believe they are evil to the core than I am sure as hell not going to call on them in a time of need.
There have been several circumstances where I didn't call the cops because of how much I fear them. And many other minorities are the same. Fuck the fucking pigs. If you have a badge, I lose respect for you.

I'll never stop saying it until things change. Ever.

It was murder and I’m appalled he was found not guilty. Hope his conscience digs into his fucking skull for killing an innocent man.
I don’t normally - well, ever - say this, but I hope the cop giving the orders and the cop who pulled the trigger both fucking kill themselves and rot in Hell for this. Utter scum, the both of them.

You are simply not correct Cream. I'm sorry to hear you feel this way, but not only do statistics not support your claim but this thinking is making America a more dangerous place.

I sincerely hope you gain more perspective.

I think the training program needs to be amended to include a section where it talks about when you shouldnt murder people.

please feel free to post "statistics" of "cops that call out bad cops".

People have the right to react angrily to this news, particularly minorities who have legitimate reasons to fear and distrust the police. Feel free to disagree with them and challenge their views, but while we would prefer if everyone avoided sweeping and possibly unfair generalizations about entire groups of people, we will not excessively tone-police those who are reacting strongly to these news, so long as they don't take out their anger on other ERA members. Remember to be civil with one another.

That's what's making America a more dangerous place? Walk some of the neighborhoods at night that I grew up in and you'd be begging for a police presence there. Sorry to say but it's not the cops that I fear..

I grew up in Baltimore. I've been close friends with people whose family members have died by police. Try again.

This "police officer" is nothing more than a murdering piece of shit thug. Unbelievable he walked away not guilty of what he clearly did.
