Juve back on top! Some things never change. And they still get to play Inter at home right? Presuming both teams keep winning most of their matches, the odds are very much in their favour right now.

Also why doesn't Barcelona stick with Valverde till the end of the season, they still have a shot at winning everything.

To be fair, Barça's lineup needs a big shakeup. The best players are all getting quite old, with only Messi truly maintaining a solid (read: fantastic) level of performance IMO. They're not a bad team by any means, but always seem to crumble in elimination matches for some reason or the other.

Still have a hard time comprehending how the 2-0 penalty for Juventus wasn't accompanied by a red card considering Dybala was in front of goal alone. Likewise, the Alex Sandro handball that caused the 2-1 penalty for Roma came bouncing from his private parts, and if he didn't touch it with his hand it would have just gone off the field. Involuntary, bounced off another body part and it nowhere gave Juventus an advantage, in fact it allowed Roma to shoot one more time if anything.

Also, with the new rules, the talk is no more about creating an advantage, want any handball in the good can be decided into a penalty. Plus Sandro moved his hand towards the ball.

Red card for penalties tends to be given when it's an intentional last man foul in a shooting position. Dybala was absolutely ready to score but the defender not only grabbed his jersey but also tumbled into him at high speed. It was 100% intentional and in Serie A they tend to give reds for these, quite surprised this wasn't the case. The Sandro incident was borderline but they usually don't give penalties when the handball follows a bounce from another body part, and in case they look at how intentional it was or if it gave any advantage. It actually gave Juventus a disadvantage, too, so it was a bit of an unusual penalty. Luckily neither episode altered the result ultimately so it's not that important.

Besides, Barcelona outplayed and dominated Atlético for most of the match, it was only at the tail end (Like always) when the players decided the match was over, stopped defending, and conceded the goals. It's not a coach thing, imo. It's the complacency of the squad.

I hope they get that guy from Barcelona B lol. He'll have no authority to solve any of the problems, and will become a scapegoat in no time. That is, if he's not awful like Solari was at Real Madrid.

I'm not the biggest fan of Setien, but Valverde couldnt stay any longer. For two and a half years we've been playing so bad, the team had no style, nobody knew what were we playing at, all our matches were so boring. He had to go, it isn't just about the results or trophies you win.

Thing is, this board was happy with him. Barça is ruled nowadays by people who hate Cruyff, Guardiola and everything related to them. Now that elections are getting closer they'll try make people believe they want to recover Barcą's DNA.

Why does that run of fixtures matter anyway when the only important ones there are the second leg against United and the CL matches against Madrid?
