The rest though? Yeah not getting anything of there's. Having said that, none of those games look remotely interesting, so no loss

I bought Wreckfest way back when it was known as "The next care game" in early access on Steam (in 2012/2013), so can't do anything about that.

Not getting any of the others.

Already have Darksiders and I backed Shenmue 3. Of the rest of them I only want Bard's tale so I'll wait until I can get it used. After that I'm done until they fix the issue.

Can't wait for biomutant, shenmue and bards tale and wasteland 3. Oh, and dying light 2, persona 5r and many more. Games are too good to give up on.

People worked hard on them and need to make a living.

I won't be punishing everybody because of a few black sheep.

For my part, I'd feel a lot better about any of these games on a case by case basis if the studio management make a strong public statement condemning THQ's actions. They probably can't get themselves out of preexisting publishing contracts, but they can use their voice.

Whoa Deep Silver is apart of them? If that's true then Atlus games technically also fall into their category, since Deepsilver is the publisher in europe.
I personaly don't boycott, but thought I'd tell for those who do.

I've added SEGA JP and Atlus physical copies in Europe.

Bloodstained is 505 Games, no?. Also not sure about Wasteland 3, maybe EU copies only?

Well, I backed Bloodstained and the money when to the development of the game. I'm also getting Wreckfest as I already paid for it eons ago. I don't want this to look like I support the publisher and assclowns who made this whole mess but the devs and people who are caught in the middle of this shitfest and have lives and families.

Reminder that if any of these games you'd otherwise be interested in ends up on a humble bundle, you can specify how your purchase is split on those and prevent any of it from going to them.

Looking at the PSN store Deep Silver is also on the store pages for Persona 5, Valkyria Chronicles Revolution, Yakuza Kiwami & the Utawarerumono games.

If you're in the Europe and interested in a game that Sega/Atlus was involved with but want to boycott Deep Silver then it's probably best taken on a case by case basis and you should look at the store before you purchase to see if Deep Silver is mentioned.

Has there ever been a boycott that didn't have collateral damage, though? I'm not willing to write off boycotts as inherently bad for it.

I backed Shenmue 3 for 600 bucks, so I'll still be getting that. They also signed the publishing contracts years ago with Deep Silver, so I doubt they could get out of that if they wanted to.

It's THQ's responsibility to take care of the well being of their employees, not ours. That includes making smart business and PR decisions to avoid public backlash and damages to income.

I mean, y'all not buying games for the crime of having microtransactions, not even thinking twice about devs, but a publisher pulls off an 8chan stunt and it's "Poor devs"? I don't get it.

Since the kickstarter money went into development and i'm not paying anything for the physical / digital versions anymore?

E: Googled because i wasn't sure, but Bloodstained isn't Deep Silver, but 505 Games. I think they switched from Deep Silver sometime in 2016/2017?

Do we know if that covers both digital and physical? I can only find the initial announcement for the deal covering physical copies of the PC release, while digital was still w/ Versus Evil, but nothing that mentions they are handling the entire console version which may be the same situation.

Again we're not punishing the devs any worse than the publisher who employs these devs are. They chose to associate with terrorism apologists and the developers employed have no choice but to accept that association because

If they speak against it? They'll be disciplined by THQN, not us. We're not the ones dictating their living stability right now, the publishers are in

It's not hard to just not post in this thread if you're just saying dumbass shit to come off as a 'reasonable neutral'

I will cut some slack for games already set to release (for instance Generation Zero, i doubt there is much room to wiggle out of that contract for Avalanche) but any future games that are announced will be a hard pass. Shenmue 3 is already locked in from Kickstarter

Y'all need to chill out with the boycotting EVERYTHING, it's bad for your blood pressure. Seems every other thread in era is about shutting down something with the power of the angry mob.

Oh please.

Developers are not robots, if they want to they can take a stand against the actions of their publisher.

It's not my job to buy their products and ensure they keep their jobs.

Their publisher supports child pornography and hate speech and now mass murder. Pretty easy pass.

505 games is now handling Bloodstained, so I don't think Deep Silver is involved. I would say just look ahead really. You backed these games ages ago, and probably before Deep Silver got involved with Shenmue.
