No idea. I just mean this claim that they have no responsibility over the packages sent through their service. They check suspicious packages.
It is true that without 8chan people just make a 9chan or something to replace it. But I think that's no excuse not to do what they can. If there's a cockroach in your room, stepping on it won't get rid of any others in hiding, so you just have to stomp em as they rear their ugly heads.
You know what else you need to ship FedEx? Shippers need a state issued ID to verify their identity.
The premise of this article has some serious flaws. We know who hosts 8chan. It's not some great mystery that Cloudflare are hiding. 8chan is owned and hosted by NT Technology/Jim Watkins. NT Technology also hosts 2channel, the extremely popular Japanese textboard. Teeeeeeechnically, Watkins stole 2channel from its original owners. But that's all in the past now.
Cloudflare exists to protect sites from denial of service attacks. Also to provide HTTPS certification and the like. Cloudflare is basically a proxying service. Whenever a website comes under attack, companies like Cloudflare are there to protect them. ResetERA is protected by Cloudflare. There are people who would want to take down ResetERA. Who would be interested in knowing exactly where the site is hosted for malicious purposes.

This is one of the stupidest responses I've seen in my life. Taking away electricity and groceries wouldn't affect terrorists? Yes it fucking would. FedEx doesn't check packages? Yes they fucking do. Fuck libertarians.
Shutting this site could backfire and they may find another way to congregate where they cannot be caught. Perhaps keep tabs of extremists on sites such as this. Obviously White Supremacists groups are just as big of a threat as ISIS.

I'll be downgrading my paid Cloudflare accounts tomorrow (to the free tier) so I'm no longer supporting them financially. Unfortunately they're a necessary evil in my line of work.
Yes but you see when you keep rooting them out, it makes it harder for them to congregate "Safely" and then people are less likely to be radicalized. So I strongly disagree.

There's been shooters that were at least partially influenced by Reddit, Twitter, or YouTube. 8chan isn't fundamentally different from that.
