I might catch up Alita because I've read the manga and I'm morbidly interested. Ain't seen the rest.
Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman was shoved down my throat marketing-wise, the other two not really. Not really surprising that the first group of movies, which have gigantic machines to try to put audiences in seats, are more successful than the latter.

I never heard of the other two, because I live in a box or something. I'll add them to my netflix DVD list and give them a watch.

You're not really missing out. Alita was a bit more fun than I thought it was going to be, but more in the Venom sort of way, where I was having a good time while acknowledging that the movie was mostly bad.

So well-established things people already know and like are popular and things nobody has ever heard of are not?

And yes, I'm aware Captain Marvel isn't a "hot property" except oh wait yes it is it's a MCU property starring someone who won an Oscar for Best Actress like 3 years ago
