Only if you want to create unnecessary angst and drama. They've put battle Royale on phones. It is the main, BREAKOUT HIT mode on one of the most popular games around. You honestly think the Switch version won't have BR?

While Switch is a better platform than smart devices, more people have smart devices than Switches.

As I said in the other thread, this might a PS4 situation again: Fortnite BR beating other battle royale games to the punch on the Switch, thus absolutely cementing itself as the go-to game. Plus it's f2p, anyone can try it without effort (assuming this includes the BR mode of course, could be Save The World only for now). It's safe to say it's cross-save and cross-play with Xbox, PC and mobile then, since it's only Sony intentionally skipping other consoles.
Oh come on surely that's a given.......................though it would break the internet if it wasn't.

Is the normal Fortnite game worth checking out? I have a feeling that no one actually cares about it and the only relevant thing is the Battle Royale mode.
I've largely ignored this game on my ps4, xbone, pc, and iphone but oddly I could see myself getting into a switch version, especially if they add in gyro aiming with the joy cons. Also I wouldn't be surprised if this dropped this month, or even the day of Nintendo's presentation.
Things like battle passes and skins won't and can't be transferred over.
Let's just wait and see. It wouldn't surprise me considering Nintendo is very conservative regarding online play. It would be such a typical third party situation to happen for them.
