Every single book Jackson had in Neverland was combed over by the FBI for Both of his trials. Not a single one had pedophilic connotations.
Yup, the ones with naked kids was an art photo book. He did have a couple porno mags, but who didn't at the time?

We (collectively) killed MJ.

Years ago, at the old place, there was a thread about a long Youtube video of a lawyer discussing this topic. It did a good job of convincing me Michael was innocent. Wish I could find it.

This is news to me as well. I mean, some of the things he said personally was pretty suspect, but it's also because none of us really understood what he's going through. Good to see people are digging deeper to find out the truth, though.

Edit - Oh yeah, I also remember the report about child porn found on his computer after he died. I guess that's bullshit too, then. I know that piece of news was what made me give up hoping he was innocent.

Michael Jackson was my childhood hero. When the allegations came out, I just refused to believe them, and I feel vindicated in that faith in the man as an adult.

As I grew up, I came to view Michael Jackson as a bridge between races in the United States. "Black or White" was one of my favorite songs growing up, and I still tear up when I watch the video. I think about all the good Michael could have done for our country as a voice for inclusivity, and how we lost all of that potential. You see him in late interviews and he's more monster than man. I've come to lose all faith and confidence in humanity in the last two years, and I don't even know how I kept it up that long. Humanity makes me nauseous.

When Evan Chandler committed suicide four months after Michael Jackson died, I took it as a confession.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNJL6nfu__Q

the general public, as always, was ready to immediately assume the black man is guilty
I think this is more a case of the common person being overjoyed when successful individuals fail or turn out to be flawed. Ugly people want everyone else to be ugly, too. Anything else is an insult to them.

This reddit post explains it perfectly: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoStupidQuestions/comments/3n3rio/comment/cvknk28?st=JGFX3AP8&sh=bd4f20d8

MJ was caught up in a terrible decade where tabloids drove ridiculous amounts of money in the mainstream. His bizarre appearance and behavior made people latch onto him and accused him of all types of things. Hell even La Toya spent the better part of a decade trying to extort millions from him by claiming he was a pedophile (which she later denied and of course MJ forgave her the first day the family talked to her again!) He was a troubled man who was taken advantage of and abused his whole life. It’s such a sad and tragic story and truly think he was innocent.

Nothing irritates me more than when people blatantly call him a child molester without knowing one thing about the two trials he was accused of. Look at the Chandler family... the Dad committed suicide, the son hasn’t talked to either of his parents in nearly 20 years, and the kid hasn’t been seen for 3 years.

I knew some of this stuff but this was a really interesting read and I learned a lot of new things. I feel so bad for MJ he was taken advantage of all his life and that just so sad to me.

I've always felt that MJ was just a guy who truly loved, in a non exploitative/abusive/manipulative way, children and childlike innocence in a genuine, heartfelt manner.
Yup, me too. It’s just hard to explain so I never really went to great lengths to defend him. Nor did I really know!

My takeaway from this and other mobs is that it's never about what happened but what others would like to happen. Many people wanted Mr Jackson to be a pedophile, because his success was seen as an attack to their worldview. He was a black man, who is pretty weird. Why would he deserve success when I don't? If you think about it, most mobs, online or not, are fueled by a similar feeling.

I also think this is a good remainder that money and fame ought to be carefully managed. There will always be people willing to try to exploit you if they think they can get something out of you. I always think of lottery winners and how poorly people maange windfalls.

Imagine back then people used to BUY their fake news from tabloids in every supermarket checkout lane. (I know they still exist, but that market has died off a lot.)

Michael Jackson was born too early. He never had a childhood, so him trying to reclaim that in his adult life rubbed folks the wrong way back in the 90s. Whereas nowadays, adults are more comfortable than ever to act like kids and celebrity worship means R. Kelly still gets a pass.

Hmm no I wouldn’t trust him with my son or anyone’s children.
Single male strangers are rarely trusted with children. Even today if you wanna be an Early Childhood teacher as a male, you will get pushback. Let's not forget the airline that passed a rule of forbidding child passenger from sitting next to men as well.

It’s more what he did to his face, the way he talked, his penchant for having sleep overs with kids etc that make me think he was fucked in the head. Single males aren’t as worrisome to me having been one myself.
You didn't read the Twitter thread, did you?
Ok I take it back now I actually would trust him with kids alone sorry about that.

What did he do to his face? You mean plastic surgery? Well, start calling your son big-nosed monkey and belt him everyday. We'll see if he turns out okay as an adult. Because Michael clearly should have despite all this trauma and abuse he suffered from his father as a kid.

Yea I do mean how he totally disfigured his face. It’s not a good indication of mental health. I’m not giving him a pass for being a child molester because of his bad upbringing.

He wasn't a child molester, in the eyes of the law or if you even vaguely pay attention to the evidence, as you clearly have not done, despite it being all over the thread and the OP. If you're not going to read the OP or address anything in it, kindly leave my thread.

Still love MJ's music.

Isnt there a Scientology tie in because of Lisa Marie?

And his daughter Paris seems somewhat normal(outside of supposed drug use), Prince(aka blanket) and MJ jr all seem to be living non famous lives.

Wasnt there speculation years ago that his kids werent actually his? Did anyone ever confirm it?

I mean, let's be real here: the fact he was so famous, if there was evidence, he would have been hung even once if there was truth.

Instead he was bled to death by thousands of small accusations. He seemed like an individual who was inspired by youth for his was robbed from him as stardom and business came first.

Perhaps his admiration for youth was for them to have a life he wanted but could never have, and of course that might seem odd to "adults" who didn't go through what he went through. The impact on just his physical appearance with his scalp damage by his hair catching fire and vitiligo are enough to damage the everyday kinda person, but to perhaps the most famous entertainer in human history?

Lisa-Marie's beliefs notwithstanding, MJ was raised as a Jehova's Witness and was a Christian all his life - or at least a believer in God.

The kids seem to be doing alright; Paris has become a model and actress and was pretty charming on Fallon recently. The identity of their biological father still remains in dispute, although many believe "Blanket" was conceived with MJ's sperm cells.

i need a 'lol' emoji or similar.
Nah, what you actually need is to read the thread linked to in the OP.

The Marc Maron podcast with macaulay culkin is a must listen. It removed from my mind any remaining shred of doubt that MJ had a bad bone in his body

Michael Jackson was a Mr Roger type of person. In which no one thought a man to love children while out something creepy going on.

The difference between them was that Rogers was able to live a normal life. He was able to be seen as kind to children as he himself didn't act like a child around them. MJ never had a childhood. He was a star before he was a teenager. He wanted to give children a world he never had, and of course for us who actually had a childhood, it looks weird to us.

What's important to understand is that we can find people being "weird" about things that come to us naturally. Look at people fixated on sex or items; those who have it don't really care, but those who lack it fixate on it. If you look at MJ in that respect, the stuff most people on earth get to experience, he barely had a chance to. Of course he would fixate on it, he was robbed of a normal youth.

*alleged child molester then. I’ve been asked to leave the thread because I’m upsetting op. Stay safe kids, and stay away from creepy men who want you to sleep in their bed.
If I started telling everyone that you were a child molester, with 0 proof and rational though behind it, would you be mad if people started to deny you any contact with kids because of what I said? Even after the courts, police and detectives proved everything I said was bullshit?

You were asked to take a few minutes to read something linked to in the OP, and in fact that request is even in the OP. But if you want to leave instead, I think we will survive being poorer your hot takes.

I’m not welcome to answer that.

thank you for this thread. I'm a big MJ fan but it was always the amount of evidence that spoke against him being a child molester that made me think he was innocent.
This thread is desperately needed for future reference when people casually call him a child molester.

I mean you can say what you want about his face and the surgeries, but that is completely his decision and afaik a lot of that also had to do with the accident when he filmed this Pepsi commercial where his head caught fire.

He said it in 2003 to Martin Bashir. He got animated LYING about bleaching his skin. He 100% had vitligo and that may very well be what drove him to bleach it for a uniform color, but he very clearly bleached his skin. He was very clearly lying about his nose to Martin as well.
Read the Twitter thread. One of the ways you can see that those later allegations were bogus was that the accuser didn't know that he had dark patches on his skin.

E.G. his skin was not uniformly lightened.

He was telling us this as early as 1987, probably earlier.

Remember "Leave Me Alone"?

We treated the man and his life as our own personal amusement park - coming en masse for the cheap thrills and leaving the place completely trashed.

Edit: Rewatch the clip for Christ's sake - I'll be damned if it isn't extremely painful.

Both Prince and Blanket have vitiligo. Blanket actually looks like Michael. It’s too coincidental for both of them not to be his actual children.

Paris isn’t his.

It's great to see people trusting an account named "MJJLegion" this blindly. In regards to the whole "he didn't even settle, it was all his insurance company!" claim, I'll leave an article here from someone obviously biased from the "MJ is guilty" side to balance it out a bit.
